The Sargasso district is the popular leisure area of Durban Station's biodome. Whilst much of the biodome as a whole is used for farming, parts of it are allocated to help Core pilots relax whilst off patrol.
The Sargasso district is home to many facilities to allow Core pilots to take their minds off the harshness of the Edge Worlds. In the middle of the district is the central plaza, which is surrounded by arcades, movie theatres and shops. To the north lies Durban's most famous bar: The Mad Mako.
Upon entering the bar, you can see many Core pilots are socialising with each other. The Mad Mako is a popular destination for Core pilots to visit after patrol: pilots share stories of their endeavours in the Edge Worlds, catch up with friends, discuss military plans and revel in the glory of The Core with each other. A large holo-screen continuously repeats messages of propaganda. 'DOLOR TRANSIT GLORIA AETERNA EST' repeats now and again, usually accompanied by pictures of high ranking Core personnel. Music plays from the bars speakers (it's of the best taste) accompanied by exotic dancers dancing to the beat.
The Bar Menu is as follows:
Quote:Delta Dingerino
Thin Strawberry Flavoured synth gel mixed with Vodka (Don't worry, it comes from crates stolen from those commie bastards).
Orange Juice Out Of A Champagne Glass
An alcoholic orange drink invented by the Captain of the 'WV Thresh Prince'. Served as described.
Omega Rade Coreberry Flavour
APMs' own flavoured juice drink.
Teardrops in the Rain
A sweet but s-a-l-t-y tasting alcoholic beverage.
Amanda takes a timid walk into the bar, as much a robust person she is to fly with, shes rather a different person out of the cockpit, she shuffles over to the main bar still wearing her flight suit up to the barmaid, whom she blushed at upon seeingEh, let me see this menu... uhh, I'll take one of those delta dingerino things? The barmaid nods and gives a little wink as Amanda sits down, she turns her stool around looking at the dancers thinking to herselfHuh, wonder if any them could notice me...The barmaid comes back with the drink, Amanda promptly thanks her and begins sipping her drink while losing herself in the dancers near the stage
Slowly and steadily, Ivy made her way to the club. She was wearing a black hood, her hand in her pockets, her blue hair still slightly hanging out of it. She kept her head down, even if it was lively there she was always a bit shy when it come to contacting people in person like this. Siting down in a far corner, she put her hands onto the counter and pulled down one of her sleeves. On her arm was some sort of an interface, a screen projecting a human like figure. To a few people that would take a glance it seemed as if she was talking to it or something. Every once in a while she took a slight look around, but overall didnt pay much attention to others.
Shawn walks in The Mad Mako bar, and looks around with an unsurprised look. He slowly walks in and smile at the dancers while thinking to himself "Why did I never came to this place... geez, always hanging out at Freeport 11" Shawn crave a cold drink so his eyes directly to the main bar. Instantly sees the menu and don't hesitate to talk... "Hey cutie, bring me a Teardrops in the Rain" He says to the barmaid whom she smiles back at him and with a subtle wink she bring him his drink.
Shawn sees around and sees more of his friends sitting nearby...
Amanda continues sipping her drink, rather enthralled at this point by the dancers, when she suddenly hears chatter behind her, she instinctively sinks down and starts making a sour face then straightens up and sighsComeon Henderson, this isn't the Denver suburbs anymore, make some damn friends. She puts on a rather cheesy looking smile and looks behind her and looks to the core pilot she heard behind her and opens her mouth to speakHi the-!What comes out is a squeaky voice in a pitch that probably would have attracted more attention had this not been a large bar blaring music
As he approached the other pilot, still in her flightsuit, he freezes close to her and with an awkward smile both keep staring at each other for a few seconds, Shawn then to kill the awkwardness he speaks and tries to 'start over' "H-hey there... cutie... noticed you are alone and thought of giving you... company he he... mind if I sit here?" as she accepts and he silently sits down there is an awkward silence. Shawn starts thinking of a way to kill further the awkward moment caused seconds ago, and brings up a conversation. "So... you must be tired, I mean, I see you haven't changed to a more.. confortable attire... headed straight here from the hangar?" he asks as he sips from his drink and make a bitter face from the s-a-l-t-y flavor
Amanda continues sipping her drink, finding the occasional clump of synth gel that wasnt quite blended rightSort of, long evening, I undock from the freeport. manage to find myself in for quite an evening. She sighs and shakes her headA Nomad giant, one of those battleship sized ones, some other little nomad, Ms. Raven, and a civilian death from said nomads. She briefly looks over at the pilot and squints taking in the features, then looks back down to her drinkHow about you eh? Had any interesting encounters lately?
He smiles as she starts talking, thinking "seems like its not so bad" but he closes his eyes and gives a subtle sigh that could not be heard. He looks bored seeing as they both have the same encounters out there in the omicrons, nothing new to him. And yes, that includes "miss Raven". He hears a question directed to him, and his kind yet assertive smile comes back to his face, its now his chance, he faces to her and answers "Well, the only interesting encounter lately, has been meeting you here..." he closes up and smiles to her with his drink on hand.
Amanda sips her drink again, finally enjoying the oddly chunky beverage and continues listening to Shawn and keeps nodding and smiling, enjoying the conversation as well, when suddenly Amanda hears what he has to say next and blushes to a shade that can be compared to a tomatoI uh... wow, I uh y-y-y'know that's very kind of you, I've uh,she hurriedly knocks back the rest of her drink, an easy 5 ounces in one shot, then turns to Shawn and smiles cheesilyI've really enjoyed meeting you here tonight as well!

Raven enters the room, wearing her newly adapted UV-Resistant assassin suit with her personal shockblade in it's holder on her back and her small side bag, as she walks in the room she briefly scans the room for her beloved friend but fails to see them. Being enwrapped in anxiety of the amount of people around the room, she engulfs herself in the atmosphere of the bar, hearing many voices, music and the clanging of drinks. She takes her time to breathe and to calm down. Raven begins walking towards the bar dealer, she takes off her mask and clips it on the side of her suit, revealing her lush silky brunette hair that pirouettes out of her scarf, and unveils her ingénue soft but unhealthy pale face, her eyes enervated, genuinely looking in ailing. She approaches the barmaiden and gently asks,
“... A glass of water and a Omega Rade, Coreberry, p-please. “
The barmaiden nods, “Of course, Guildkeeper Raven” then proceeds to obtaining the drinks. She gives a slight warm smile at the fact that some people still acknowledge her as the Guildkeeper, she turns around and inspect the room again briefly, noticing the other former comrades down the bar table, she only ignores them. The maiden returns with the drinks, “T-thank you” she puts down credits on the counter, takes the drinks and decides to sit amongst the corner of a room, away from the main crowd, right beside a window that has the clear view of Omicron Rho.
Placing her two drinks down, she sighs, “I hope he'll actually come... “ she mutters to herself as she places a tablet in her mouth, downing it with the glass of water. She proceeds to look out the window, awaiting for her friend to arrive...
