you do realize, that jumpdrives for caps are the cancerous thing?
Jump Drive 4:
Charging time - 600 seconds
Fuel - 200 or 300
And make those black holes open everywhere, not only 4 systems away.
Can't say anything about that 3600 restriction. Doesn't matter to me. But if base located somewere far then 5k transport would be very good to supply it by jumping there. Still, doesn't matter to me.

So are POBs. They are actually nothing more but an expensive, time-consuming and non-refundable tamagochi of the Discovery.
But, actually Carriers (only) would make use of Jump Drive and 5-6 docking bays - given they would be a bit more underpowered, unable to take on against other ships with much advantage.
Jumping Sarissas in California ruining the event are lots of fun for everyone!
lol!
Can't wait to see what crazy things devs are going to do with JDs next!
Every year a discussion about Jump Drives
I am not a fan of jumping in and out a fight without a previous announcement in the corresponding system. (best not to jump in a fight)
And Jump trading is just a memory and that's good. But removing Jumpdrives from Discovery it's not a solution. There are players who have their roleplay based on a mounted and working Jumpdrive! Removing them would mean that they couldn't RP anymore like it was before.
Last year , the Devs and Admins nerfd already the JD. So we can jump 4 systems. Ok i'm not happy about this but i can live with that decision.
Removing the Jump Drives completely is for sure a nightmare for some players! And our community is anyway already become smaller. Unfortunately!!! My opinion is, we have to make the game as attractive as possible! And the Jump Drives are part of it!
So please Admins and Dev's ! Make whatever you want with the Jump Drives BUT DO NOT REMOVE THEM!!

This happened back when the RM raids on Texas were a daily thing and nothing was done about it then either.

I own a JD. I would be happy to see it burn in the fires of Mordor along with every other Jump Drive. Funnily enough most Jump Drives aren't really used for RP, and are more used for PvP. Players shouldn't be allowed to keep detrimental pieces of equipment under the excuse that "they put effort" into acquiring them. I can (hypothetically of course) put effort into breaking the rules, should I be allowed to play without consequences of being banned?
I can understand that Jump Drives can seem attractive at a glance. They did for me actually, before I started playing Disco. But for many people, once you get to grips with them and learn how detrimental they are for gameplay, they become a MAJOR turn off for fights and just irritate everyone involved. In fact they push people away from the mod more than they attract people.
