Yes, I was the AI Drone that was shooting you and ultimately killed you.
Yes, the Nomad NPCs were immensely annoying and had a relevant influence on combat.
No, I absolutely do not believe NPCs should have major influence on player interaction on a player-focused multiplayer server.
Yes, if there's one exception I would grant it would be to Nomad NPCs....although really, that should be limited to 90, 99, Iota.
Yes, NPCs are annoying all over the place, not just in the far Omicrons. It's just some types of Nomad snub NPC that actually do damage, whereas elsewhere only gunboats and up pose any kind of threat.
No, none of this matters because @LordVipex, who is in charge of NPCs, believes NPCs having a major influence on player interactions nearly everywhere is a good thing.
Gunboat NPCs mess up Rping unlawfuls unessarily if they're stopped near an NPC station. Save the heavy navy NPCs for somewhere like a key navy installation.
Edit: I get constantly killed trying to talk to people during stuff like this.

Mu is a guard system, which tend to have gunboat patrols outside of stations.
Regarding Level 19 nomad NPCs: There are ridiculous amounts of safezones placed in Delta where these don't spawn. The point of them is that outside certain safe and highly patrolled areas, you are supposed to be endangered by the nomads to reflect the current power balance in Delta. Check the political map and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I'm considering proposing to have cap patrols only around capitals and military/highly secure stations, but I have not worked that out fully yet.
And Karst, I know you are mad that I removed you from my contact list because of your impatience and being a nuisance, but putting opinions over my head which I don't have and saying I'm in charge of things I'm not even close to entirely in charge of is a really childish display. Stahp
Space is dangerous.
Without NPCs to add flavor, it would be up to 40 people.

Yeah.
To be frank, when the server maxes out at 45 in the evening, you might as well consider pulling the plug if nobody can be bothered to do something.

Gonna correct it slightly. Space "should" be dangerous. It isn't in this mod. Removing NPCs to give 40 players less annoyance to do their stuff... They don't really bother with their stuff all that much anyway. If player should play the game only to meet one of 40 players scattered around hundred of systems... Yeah, good luck with that.
Imo NPCs should be worked on to become a good asset to the game. Yes, they are annoying right now, but not just because they are NPCs.
