I'd like to hear a justification for inhibiting a class of ships in this fashion. Yes, yes, Alley, I realize this is not your Decision, but you ARE inside the communication loop.
It seems to me that this doesn't serve any reasonable purpose since most transports are big enough to need the same sort of TS capability as warships. Sensors can go out to 16k (whatever that means), line of sight can spot a drive flare out past that, why would you restrict the screen display like this?
If the idea is "balance" to make piracy easier, I have to say this is so artificial as to break suspension of disbelief.

@"Chance" - good God. You don't even know if transports will be affected yet and you're already preemptively complaining that the devs are trying to stealth buff piracy.
It's been a pretty quiet week with not too much to do so I had the opportunity to do some non-flhook devving again. I got around a long lasting request from @Omicron to make Thebes dockable. Unfortunately the model doesn't have a modeled docking bay so ships just vanish.
Features cameras and all, so it was fun.
Next week is going to be a hardcore one though. Past that, I'll finally be spending some time on that DAE <> CMP tool.
I decided to catch up with the THN format as Treewyrm was the last developer we had around with good THN knowledge. While I was doing tests, I decided to put that time to good use and after a small exchange with Treewyrm regarding some format weirdness, this is what came out of it.
