In my opinion the Tutorial is missleading. This looks more like just a character starting guide. It doesn't really cover, at least to me, the most important thing about character development... and that is the development part.
You see... the color of your char's eyes or any appearance will only a bit affect how the character carries themselves. Each thing above in the chart... even the goals, only give just a clue to how the character will act and how will they interact.
My advice is to just go out there and put yourself into the 'attitude' of the character. It can be difficult at times. Hell, I am still not so happy with how I sometimes RP Sunny.
