I really like your new model. It really proves that you have a lot of skill in building ships mate. The custom "armor shell" is cool and new, yet looking bretonina. I really like the "helmet" frontal part. You can put windows in its holes. Also what Thunderer said +1. These multiple "engines" on its back should be turned in to hangars (then it will look similar in design to the original Prototype in Southampton which featured such hangars and that was the main intention). Just make them more "Hangar" orientated. Put something on these side engines, they are exposed. The ship looks nice from the sides but once u rotate to see it from above it does look small. You need to make this "hull/shell" bigger (size increased x-0.5 maybe) and definitely put something below the "shell" with windows (as super structure) to make it look bigger. The backward part is nice, clean and very detailed - following the Bretonian design and yet it's fresh.
Overall - it looks really good as a basis model to start improving. Currently (considering the bridge and its windows) it looks like a slightly bigger Destroyer. So just like the old model I will recommend you to put something between the end of the "armor shell" and the beginning of the backward body part. Something to make it longer and bulkier. Won't give images like I did before because I want to see your own model imagination considering our feedback but with no direct guidance.
Keep up.
Nice but now it looks like its "under construction" due to the parts you've added.
Now to make it better:
1) The gaps in the head (helmet) - put windows there at all areas.
2) The side "gaps" - fill them with armor (to extend the whole body in this way) - all these new holes I mean.
3) Fix the hangars to be more rectangular and not visible from sides (that can be fixed with step 2) when u fill the gaps with plating).
4) Add a small "belly" bridge that controls the hangars below - similar to the top one but just below the backward part.
5) Put some "fins" at these side engines, to look more detailed and covered with something.
6) Keep this "skeleton" parts visible (they look nice)
7) Maybe slightly extending the "armor shell" will be nice because it still looks small. Currently it have 4 shells, make them 6 - from the forward one up ahead. It will make it look a lot bigger.
For inspiration I made you this image taken from the concept art from the FL disk - its some kind of "bret cap ship" but it have x2 side hangars. Just in case you would like to test with something new or implement parts from it. Anyway, when you are done with the next fixes, can you put comparison image with the model next to kirk and current carrier?
PS: Look the below "belly" engines from this concept. Would be nice to make similar parts which contain your engines and put them where the current side engines are located.Their design resembles "fins".
Unlucky_Soul, I bought the carrier and once I got BAF turrets it has been great against multiple gunboats and fighters. However it fish
tails during cruise flight causing the screen to jump around, it also gets stuck entering trade lanes so i have to manually line up the ship and that only works 80% of the time, on exiting trade lane it gets stuck on the last one fifth of the ship (aft turret and thruster section) so I have either have to exit early from trade lane or point it straight up or down and manually exit trade lane. In cruise speed I put it in turret mode to stop the fish tailing ( it reminds me of back view forward of a Koi fish swimming). Is there any way this can be fixed? Even with all these issues I still really like this ship so I am hoping someone will fix it. FYI: I am fairly new to this site with only about 160 hrs of game play. Thank you for your time.
Every cap fishtails under cruise whilst undergoing a "Go to" or "Dock" maneuver. You want to free flight your way in. Cockpit view is golden for getting into lanes. The Lane problem I can't help you with.
Who ever is in charge I've literally been holding on since 2014 for this carrier remodel, Unlucky_Soul has done this. it's only flaw is floating secondaries but they're easily fixed this isn't an excuse.
i get you all have lives but you're sucking other factions whilst leaving us here blue balled as we watch everyone else get what we should have had years ago.
I am nearly done with formalities.
This won't die with me and the current baf vets in the community.
We NEED (could use to a great extent) this down south.
Our bomber and carrier models need fixing/replacing
the bomber is LITERALLY IN 2 PIECES!!!?!?!?!?!?

This I agree with. Now I know I've been gone due to life for a couple months, but we really need this carrier. BAF is just getting neglected by the looks of it. Everyone else gets upgrades while we wither away due to bureaucracy and incompetence.
