These guys do some decently alright work at changing things a bit in the interests of new RP, that much alone should earn them a lot of points. BD| has its hiccups, every faction does, certainly - but they're by no means insurmountable. Finally: this is a leadership and faction gunning for Official that has, in it's most recent posts on this very same thread, shown the capability for listening to counter-arguements and displayed the ability to apologize for past oorp transgressions and community drama. Those are two qualities that a lot of current official faction leaders, and even some staffers have troubles with. That being the case - and I know I'll never get an actual answer to this but oh well -, I have to question exactly what criteria aren't being met here that's caused the failed officialdom attempt?
Now, speaking as a former official faction leader- I'm going to go ahead and ask that BD membership not be discouraged. Officialdom may sound nice and fancy but it's a lot more paperwork and headache than it initially seems like. Trust me, you're not missing much. It's nice to wave your Faction Rights in the face of everyone but really, the cost it extracts often isn't worth it. You can still be a great faction and not attain officialdom. Use this opportunity to prove the staff wrong in the coming weeks, RP around the community some more, and try again in a little bit. Officialdom isn't everything. It's nice, but it's by no means the only way for a faction to be fun or relevant.
Sorry to hear about this folks. Despite our brief past transgressions: I thought you had this in the bag.

I agree with Sciamach, don't be too disappointed. Look at it like this, now you can try another time and this time you know what issues to avoid. I am sure you will make it if you try again.

Agreed. THP had a influence on my Administration at 11 because of hostilities during my time there. Admins may say that "Oh, Official factions can only shape the RP strongly" - I beg to differ. A Good UF can shift the grand scheme of things if planned out right. It's just that a OF makes it easier.

I would like a more detailed explanation here. who specifically and what actions. Yes there have been some transgression from the start but I'd like to think that if anything we proved our ability to deal with such adversity in a growing and reasonable manner.
I personally wasn't sure if we would make official but I was hoping that if we didn't we would be given clear instructions on what to do differently to be able to ensure success next time.
I would also like evidence for everything that contributed towards the no either sent by PM to this account or discord me.

If the member list contains more than just me, I'd like that in PM form as to save said people from any shame.
We are sad to see that this officialdom request was denied. BD| really tried their best ever since the reformation to bring in new ideas and fresh air to Kusari.
It would be a shame if the entire factions effort was turned down merely over the acts of a few members. It's surely not like this members were only making problems.
Anyway, we wish BD the best for the future, don't you even dare to get discouraged over this. Carry on with creativity and fun.
Attitude is actually a big part of being official. How you interact with the community/members/staff/whomever is an important aspect, because you are seeking to be the official representative of that NPC faction.
Just a bit of advice, as someone who has experienced similar issues with people before: A perceived problem is always worse than an actual problem. Assuming something is wrong and confronting the wrong people causes more problems for you in the long run. Avoid sending angry OORP PMs for something that happened INRP. This is a game and we are a community. We are all here to have fun, guys.

We still haven't received any evidence via PM or otherwise.
Evidence has been provided and a discussion had with the team.
We were given three valid points to work on, the issues listed are as follows:
Issue one. A member of our HC doesn't have a good standing within the community
Action taken: Member has been made aware of the situation and is actively trying to repair their reputation, the rest of the faction are aware of this attempt and have been asked to support them in their endeavour.
Issue two. I responded to Skorak in a very sarcastic and bait-y manner when he deleted the Driting Depo moments after it was requested to be an RP asset.
Action taken: Recently I have been taking a more relaxed attitude to these sorts of occurrences and I hope/plan for that to continue as well as increasing transparency and communication with the three Daimyo when responding to anything admin related.
Issue three. One of our capital pilots bumped RNC-Schiller during a PVP encounter.
Action taken: The main user of the BD|Okonomiyaki (the pilot and ship that caused this bump) will be actively flying the ship for capital encounters, once they have achieved a minimum of 5 capital encounters with 0 sanction reports filed against them they will be able to return to standard duty.
The plan is that the actions taken will resolve the issues mentioned above and that we should be able to reach officialdom next time with these lessons in mind.
