I have an Idea.... half of the SRP ID's are actually MODIFIED faction ID's (or Freelancer/Pirate IDs). Here is what we can do easily:
- have the original faction or freelancer ID mounted (that has close permissions or reps as the SRP in question);
- have an ADDITIONAL "SRP ID" mounted, that hints of this character's differences in permissions and diplomacies!
For example, my own SRP is actually nothing more than a Freelancer ID clone, that has access to outcast tech. Nothing else. So in my case, I could use a Freelancer ID and have a SRP dummy ID mounted that makes the usage of my particular ship possible as a freelancer.
This is not a 100% fix, but it could at least clear some things up in an encounter.
P.S. Also, the SRP ID needs to have a line that says "type in /info in order to get this SRP's details" and people can then have the information they need so they know how to treat this target.

Or, instead of two IDs, just have the individual IDs.

And expect every single player on the server to know how to access them? Teaching newcomers how an ID works is hard enough as is.
Again, if the main purpose of an ID is to telegraph your character's limitations in the RP environment for both you and to players you encounter, and the generic SRP ID fails at doing so, the only logical conclusion is to provide individual IDs for this to remain the case.

Stop speaking nonsense.
The purpose of any ID is to provide PLAYERS oorp context as to what pvp and interaction rights the character has in relation to yours.
We do not need to put a summary of your edgy RP in it, we just need to make sure whether or not we can be shot by you or no.

You're the only one talking about writing summaries of edgy RP or 7 paragraphs into the info.
Everyone else is talking about writing whether they can shoot you or no into the info.
Also, you've been telling people to not be silly or to stop talking nonsense a lot lately, apparently without understanding what they're talking about. Are you ok?
