Ehhhh...?? I'm going to be honest, here: I'm not quite a fan of either of them. The Sabre variant feels like it would be too bulky to avoid any shots. The Bident feels like it's missing something, but I'm not sure of what...Maybe I'll stare at the Bident for a while and think on it. Abstaining vote for now.
As a consolation, I LOVE the idea of a gunner seat cockpit that rotates with the mouse pointer! I didn't even know such a thing was possible in Freelancer!
*Thinks*
Maybe my brain wants the Bident model to be an ultra-light gunship like the Bottlenose? I can't decide right now.
The worst part about these two is the fact both are equally awesome.
My vote goes for Bident, though. It looks more unique. We already have Sabre Mk II in form of Tridente, which is basically a fatter Sabre with two long nacelles glued to it.

I've looked and re-looked at both again after not having seen either for some time. I feel that the Bident has a better profile in terms of being able to avoid fire; the Sabre-style's bulk still concerns me.
Also, I admit after looking at it in a new light, this thing definitely gives off the Kusari Hatchet vibe, which is unique as far as ship design is concerned. Voted Bident!
Would still be neat to have a Bottlenose-like available to unlawfuls, though.
