Who we are and what we do:
Starting as an idea to keep the citizens of Freeport 11 safe, Velvet soon grew to become a major influence within the Omicrons, spreading beyond merely protecting Freeport 11 to include other Zoner installations that were under threat from alien, or even human, threats to the Zoners. Becoming a major player within the Zoner community, Velvet has grown from a mere subsidiary of the Freeport 11 Administration, gaining recognition from OSI, among others. Velvet would grow to become a self-sustained organizations, assisted by both OSI and other Zoner Administrators.
Velvet's goals are to uphold the original ideas that define a Zoner: Freedom and independence above all. To this end, Velvet works to secure the safety and sanctity of the Zoner way of life with almost tireless determination. Not beholding itself to merely Zoners, Velvet recruits anyone willing to take up their banner in the defence of the stations under their watch, bringing in a myriad of experience from fighting, intelligence, security, and the like. While it's headquarters is on the infamous Freeport 11, much of it's confederate fleet is spread amongst Zoner stations in the Omicrons as well as several stations in the Taus, Omegas and Sigmas.
Operatives of the Velvet Organisation always maintain themselves as free people first, but when that freedom is at stake, they unite under a common goal of keeping the community and population of Zoners safe and secure.
A pilot with this ID is considered part of the Velvet Organisation. They are a dedicated group who are either from a Zoner background, or who have bonded under the Zoner and Velvet banner to ensure the safety and freedom of the free people of the Zoner community. To achieve their goals, they use a more militaristic style approach, rather than the more diplomatic one more akin to the Zoner community.
Pilot carrying this quasilawful ID is a member of the Velvet organisation, who:
Can defend Zoners and Zoner bases anywhere.
Can enforce Zoner regulations around the No Fire Zones of Zoner bases.
Cannot dock Cruisers or Battleships on non Zoner bases.
Can engage any ship considered hostile to the Velvet Organisation within their ZoI.
Can attack any Nomad vessels and their known sympathisers anywhere.
Cannot dock transports with more than 3,600 cargo within House Sovereign space, except the Border Worlds Train.
Can take on bounty contracts only against enemies of the Velvet Organisation.
Cannot participate in unlawful actions except as described above.
Zone Of Influence: Omicrons, Sigmas, Taus, Omegas, systems with a Zoner base.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports, Gunboats, Cruisers and Battleships.
@Megaera @Backo thank you both!
@"Sombra Hookier" Fixed, sorry! We also owe you a huge special thank you as well. It's been said on PMs, but without your original pushes, this would never have happened. Thank you

I think you should edit out that last Omicrons and have it read "...stations in the Taus and Sigmas"
@Foxglove Hopefully it will give you guys a bit more reason to log as there'll be something else to shoot, at least that's one of the things that we're aiming for.
@SnakThree Like @Backo said, we are the only ones who stepped in when people tried to start shooting up Freeports (11 and 10 most notable as well as a few instanced in Theta)
@"Captain_Nemo" Fixed, should have properly proof read it. Blame @Immortality23 for that.
