RNS-Amethyst, RNS-Lazurite & RNS-Wulfenite have been sanctioned for:

3.6 Attacking without Roleplay. Players must be given reasonable time to react to hostilities.

Consequences:

A few weeks ago I followed you and personally witnessed five of you engage a group of players that were doing a mission. Out of the five of you, three did not provide sufficient roleplay before engaging, two of these (Lazurite & Wulfenite) said nothing at all before opening fire.

We have decided to strip the equipment from your ships for doing this. Because two of you have already lost your equipment from another infraction, those ships will be losing their armour upgrades instead.

Next - i think gm need to check the -cr-courrier and -cr-yakovich,is that a one player. Anyway -cr-yakovich had the notice and i dont see his messages of death. Later we see the -cr-courrier which was in the battle and sended us messages,when the rest part of players was in the battle.
There is a screenshot where he is in the battle,when the rest part of cr is dying.

I certainly don't hate Russians, and my in game ignore list is, and always has been, empty.

From my perspective there were no messages sent, and from Karlotta's perspective there were less messages sent than there are in your own logs. This appears to be caused by you quickly dropping your set message engagement notices from extreme scanner ranges where the messages are frequently not received by the people you are engaging. This is probably something you should stop doing.

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that over-reliance on the set message feature is something you have personally been sanctioned for before, Reptile, albeit a long time ago. Many things have changed since then, but this behaviour is still a refusal to engage with the roleplaying environment and at odds with the spirit in which the rules are written. It may not be listed as rule 1.2 any more, but the same clause is still included in the rules:

Game Masters will impose sanctions on players for violating the following rules and for any actions that harm server gameplay.

I recommend you change your attitude towards the game, and think carefully before you continue to push the rules to their absolute limit.

As for this sanction, it will be discussed by the staff, as a team, until we come to a decision. As it was before it was posted.

Since I was there and mentioned in this thread, I might as well give my perspective.

First of all, Courrier is not Yakovich. They were both online at the same time.

To me it seems the absense of your lines on Loken's screen (and some of them from my screen, because I got one of them but not both of your lines in Evangeline's logs) could come from 2 things:

1. Differing radar ranges. Local chat messages appear to everyone in your radar list, but not to everyone who has you on their radar list. That's how a person with a Battleship scanner can be seen talking at 20k away by people who don't see him on their radar, and how a person with 20k radar range wont see what a person with a 10k radar says if he is 11k away. From the video, it looks like you and Wulf could have been outside 10k or 15k range when you dropped your lines, while Loken's admin radar has much greater range.

2. You used pm or group chat instead of local chat by mistake. I think Wulfenite used pm instead of local at least once when he engaged me, athough I dont remember if it was that particular time.

As for your outrage at this sanction, I can sympathize. However, there are more factors involved in this than just this one incident. Having flown in many groups that fought against you and your friends, I can say that there are people who said they sent many rule violation reports against you and your friends (for various things, little- or no-rp engagements among then), and that they expressed much anger at GMs for allegedly not acting against you. I don't know if their reports were accurate and contained enough evidence or not, but I remember telling those people to stop sanctionlancing and that it's just a game. I'm assuming these reports (which possibly contained inconclusive evidence) were the reason why you were monitored by a GM as you were in the video.

About the "community hostility" you are facing, which also puts GMs under pressure to "do something about you", I also think that it's not only your fault alone. Even if there 0 or 1 or 2 lines engagement notices in a group fight, where no one honestly cares about what you say in RP and everyone knows that you will attack anyway, people here manage to whip themselves into a blind rage and tell each other that what you did was totally inacceptable, even when frankly, honestly, how many lines of RP you dropped made no difference what so ever. That issue, as bad as it may be, is not going to get solved by accusations of "you only hate me because I'm russian" though. Not saying it can't or shouldnt be adressed, but blaiming it on only that is not really helpful.

In short, this rule needs to be supplemented, since it can be used to make a bunch of warnings and sanctions on all people, since there is no specific unit of measure.

Seriosly,i tired.
In my 32 yrs im coming to this game with 30 players online to do 100 and more. Im always using /l2 /l3 for attack and /l1 for scanning cargohold.
Im never attacking muted. Giving a time 10 seconds is ENOUGH to not answer us,but for trying run or something else.
We are playing for military units in war zones. About what we should talk with our direct enemies?
Did you forgot,that shooting and fighting is a primary role in game? This is freelancer,not a chatlancer with 3d models.
Before fight im always sending notices and giving time turn his ship and let them try to run. Im not interesting to listen about pretty dog on planet New London which is saw gallic cruiser with forward gun yesterday. All what i want to do in my role to do a battle from gallic battlegroup,like it should be by the gallic role.

Anyway,i realy tired from all of this hate. You won.
I will ask our players to stop fights.

I want to see,how this game will be turn to connlancer again.

Anyway,we can send you logs from other players,where was messages for battle. But does it change something?
We did great battles. We did a teamwork. We did the gallia strong enemy again.
