I like the event PvP
FYI all the sep/legion groups with high numbers you see
Are just a bunch of randos indies and different groups glued together by having fun in-game that the event brought together. More than half the time we can't even gather together in one spot if there's more than 3 lol
I'm not in any sep or legion discord. I don't want to be, I just want to play the game and leave strict RP and organisation to factions I'm already in outside of events meant to bring random people together. Yet was in a bunch of fleet fights
If we happen to gather people we just play the game, and it's fun - often just without checking player lists much less going on discord lol
Just taking a bunch of guys and flying towards texas that don't mind one way streets.
measure of success
Liberty don't log unless they have strong numbers, they ultra rarely enter bering without a fleet, there are very few guys that just solo log and fly around the area and take fights even when outnumbered.
My side has that, enjoys that, goes towards houston without checking player list to have fun and shoot NPCs and whoever's there.
So the only thing I focus on is getting scores for my side, having fun with randos I get to meet in the event and let Liberty lawfuls play their own game, if it's fun for them, just let them do it and do what's enjoyable to you. Like in the rest of Disco you can't tell people to play the game your way. I'm glad I realized that before I quit out of frustration.

Welcome to no restriction trade event where people use 5kers to minmax their profits. Saw Ageira attempt to do this route (rephacked nodock), DSE, Interspace and Universal so far. It's stupid.
Well, you know my take - I play legion that are neutral IFF as default towards corps.
And In-lore support and protect them and want to gain their favor and favor of civilians.
I play all my legion chars as idealist good guys who just want to restructure the corrupt dishonorable current lib lawful police and navy factions and government - often I even try to recruit lawful individual players to join our side with cheesy idealistic RP
Oorp this means the ID is just painful to play for that idealism
You're like a nomad ID that doesn't shoot civvies - everyone went after you when you log except seps who just often watched as rogues shot my chars down.
I do believe it's more than reasonable they'd gain some favor wit some people in universal.
And if you quote me real life corps wouldn't do this then maybe you should think about how the private sector corporations really work - and how they'd actually be in a two faced space galaxy 800 years from now.
Don't like it? Stop me from trading on my universal ID on lawful take evidence to FR5 my char. There has been zero navy or police reports filed that snapped my contraband cargo, zero I believe. And one without it when someone logged a carrier for 5 minutes left and filed a report without getting close to me.
You have all the power in the world to prevent corps in foreign transports from making any money on the route. So do something about it in game, or turn around and stop whining.
Just like I can't force LN to stop logging mostly only when they know they can win instead of just playing the game like I do happen what may on legion chars.
You can't stop me from interpreting the lore my way when I stay within the rules.

There is no point in FR5ing one-time event cashcows because you can just discard the ship after making billions, or switch to another ID for the next event outside Liberty.
Then just stop me haha
But in all honesty I see why you don't bother
I abuse the player list on my 5k heavily, log based on what lawful are logged and where and have all ship classes parked there to delete people that threaten the route. If multiple lawfuls log and catch me once I just logoff trader when dock and get PVP chars, get my cloak raba or try to find seppies that can distract them and pay them extra out of pocket for blue messages. And I have my finger on "drop cargo" permanently and will just RP playing dumb if you do catch me.
Only way to really stop me solo is to have fair PvP fights when I try to protect the route on my own.
I paid like 50 million to people for creating diversions just so I can trade on my 5k.
Feels frustrating? Well now you know how the sep and legion side feels when they try to get fair PvP
EDIT: and just to clarify, at this point it hasn't been about profit anymore
It's about that N.1 Spot in the trade part of the event.
And I doubt you can stop John Cornelius Trade of Universal from achieving it. I have most likely been the most active participant in the event across my characters in the entire game stirring a lot of action, getting legion and seppies together and feeding a lot of frags to lawfuls forces. I'd say I deserve my billions.
EDIT2: if you do FR5 the char I will make it join the new libsep ID ingame and forums when it comes. I am pretty committed to John Trade and he won't be just renamed out of existence. There's been so far 0 reports with contraband snapped in cargo posted so doubt that's happening.
