Ugh... Auxos, a faction without a real purpose but always wanting to stick their noses in everything. Must be "my friends & I faction thing". So annoying.
When we make friends, we actually make the effort to be a friend. Unlike some factions.
More than that, looks like Auxos are "My Discord friends Bounty Hunters".

I can see why the event team didn't want said factions involved in the combat event, but letting them just engage cargo haulers might spring some old dusty Stellions or Anacondas into action. It makes sense for said factions to interfere with such an operation.
Both Maquis and Gaians already have piracy lines, what allows their participation as side piracy factions, tho

- Can attack Planetform and Orbital Spa and Cruise.
- Can attack ships carrying Flourine, Gaian Wildlife or Terraforming Gases.
- Cannot use Battleships or ships with more than 4300 cargo space, except the Corsair Train.
Within Zone of Influence (Bretonia, systems directly bordering Bretonia, Taus, California, Inverness, Vespucci):
- Can attack Combat Ships. - Can engage in piracy.

- Can attack ships considered hostile by Maquis. - Can demand cargo.
The Gaians and Maquis are terrorists, though, not pirates. They should be running around hunting traders and causing chaos, not mugging people for spare cargo.

True, although waiting for compliance gives traders time to stall. La Riche's current position and lack of tradelanes leaves only really Orkney JH in Languedoc as a viable ambush spot. I suppose Orkney hole in Edinburgh could work as well, but any even remotely competent trader will probably make it to La Riche intact.
Then again, it's been a while since I kept up with the piracy meta. Maybe the pirate firepower got a boost while I wasn't looking.
And, well, ideally we'd like those people on Gaia dead. I can't imagine it's the serfs that Enclave is evacuating to Quillan.

Gaians/Maquis and Brigands should be able to engage the siege goods haulers as combat targets. They probably can do the same for the refugees anyways. Hate to say it but with billions dead from Leeds, its total war at this point, so there's always revenge to be had. Unless Enclave wants to announce they're cedeing the planet publically in hopes people will let them evacuate.
