Preface
Kinoshita Akechi, 3rd child of the Kinoshita Clan and the elder son of the Kinoshita family was born in 29th of March, 786 A.S. in Kinojima, Planet Honshu, Honshu star system.
Kinoshita Akechi lived in a Military orientated family, whose roots hailed from the 80-year war with Rheinland. His ancestors were of GMG origin and made their way into a nobility as the result of the 80-year war.
Early Years
Kinoshita spent his early years in the House residence, where he obtained traditional Kusari home education. Afterwards, he entered the Military academy on planet Honshu in 801 A.S and graduated with honours in five years .
Right after the Military academy Kinoshita married a girl from the nobility, to develop a relationship between Kinoshita and Sakamato Clans. At the same time he was appointed as an officer aboard Takeda-class destroyer “Zuikaku”.
Tau War
At the start of the Kusari-Bretonia war for the Taus, "Zuikaku" with the sister ship "Shoukaku" as a part of the 14th KNF destroyer task group were deployed as a part of the invasion fleet. During an operation in the Tau-31 system, "Shoukaku" was destroyed. She covered the "Zuikaku" from the outnumbered forces of the 63rd Bretonia cruiser division and 34th Bretonia bomber wing. “Zuikaku” managed to retreat to the main Kusari forces. Having sustained serious damage, the "Zuikaku" was redirected back to Kusari for repairs.
During the war, Sakamato Clan was found leaking sensitive information to Bretonia in exchange for insider stock market intelligence and was disgraced as a result. In fact, it was Kinoshita who reported his spouse’s family of transgressions against the Empire. Kinoshita’s wife, furious over her clan’s fall from grace and betrayal of her husband, became a member of a terrorist organization – the Golden Chrysanthemums. Such a defection was the final nail in the reputation of the Sakamoto Clan: the latter was eliminated and all its assets were transferred to Kinoshita family. Whether such a move of Kinoshita was a cold calculation in the game for power or an expression of pure loyalty to the Emperor is not known, although the second assumption prevails in the public discourse. While still far from the top dogs of Honshu, Kinoshita Clan, empowered with Sakamoto’s assets, became more widely known and was promised “Zuikaku” as clan’s flagship after the end of the war.
After the Tau War
During the Emperor's exile and the Gallic onslaught in the Tau Region, "Zuikaku" was being repaired at Yokohama until late 819 A.S. Kinoshita Akechi, now the commander of “Zuikaku”, was redirected to the eastern borders where he was entrusted with the same duty as before the beginning of the 2nd Tau War: to ensure the safety of Kusari civilian vessels, eliminate terrorist groups within Honshu, and observe the Sigma cluster.
In 825 A.S Kinoshita Akechi aboard “Zuikaku” took an active part in the short the Kusari-Rheinland war in Shizuoka (Sigma-21) system.
Current Situation
Mounting expenses to support “Zuikaku” and post civil war financial instability promted Kinoshita Clan to look for a patron from among the larger clans of Honshu. The choice fell on Shimamori Clan that at the time gained sufficient publicity to attract attention of a smaller clan. The patronage was granted in the form of vassalage: Kinoshita clan became fudai daimyo, that is gained land with its infrastructure as well as financial assistance for the term of service as a vassal in exchange for service on the retinue and expertise in other matters.
Such a vassalage did not override the allegiance to the Emperor and was more akin to the relations of an employer and an employee. Under the stewardship of the Shimamori, Clan Kinoshita continued its duty in protecting the system of Honshu, both for the Empire and their new lord. Nowadays, Kinoshita Akechi as the head of the Clan plays an important role as the chief military advisor of the Shimamori and ensures the safety of the marquess as an importart political figure of Kusari.
