Explaining what is cheating and what is not, defining cheating as per se and distinguishing it more specifically would make a great deal to the community. For sure more than waving banhammer around and threating everyone with a ban for something they might not even knew was cheating.
I know everyone's already been saying this, but wouldn't this have been much better as an announcement? And if there are particular people who have been doing it, then shouldn't they receive the sanction, instead of a broad and vague warning directed at the entire community for something which they didn't even necessarily know was a thing? This was the first time I even heard of this.
You guys really need to stop with the needlessly confrontational approach to moderation, it's literally this kind of thing that drives people away from the server.
I think asking the admin team to break the years-long tradition of confrontational, condescending, and at times outright aggressive approaches towards the community at large might be a little overdue at this point -- never mind the weird quote marks around 'community' (I think that's just poor literacy rather than a dig at the playerbase being both tiny and bitter, but who knows)
Remember, they do it for free, guys, and they really have a lot on their plate!

This.
You’re not gonna catch the people who are doing this and are smart about it. You’re certainly gonna get falsified reports and tons of instances where the supposed “perpetrators” are new people who don’t know how it works.
Everytime you bring down the hammer like this, it’s always the new players who suffer the most.
