The rest of problems are understandable but that's a compromise this community as a whole has chosen and everyone's paying the price. In the last four years I haven't experienced much downtimes on XMPP instances, just saying. Hell, even a mailing list would make more sense than trash like Discord, any competent development team has a mailing list.
again ... i don't see any problem with this new delay. new bugs show up and it is better delay and solve this problems .. no problem at all but .. why only now it is public? why 2 or 3 days ago " hey guys new bugs are show up, and we don't have time to solve then, so the patch will be delay for 1 week" how hard is that? everyone here would understand that. why keeping so much secrect to the community in global, and only tell a few friends, and then one of then leak as a rumour? look the case of the barge ... dev team is going to nerf then and some new it, and then sold then in good price ... and what about the ones who have then and even worse the ones who bought then? it was necessary a revolution to someone final public annouce it, and look what happened now ... no one is willing to pay the normal price for one. all this could be avoided if the dev team was honest to the community .. we all know It's voluntary work and we're grateful for it, but let's all be honest. just that.
take care all and have fun
No matter what happens with the patch, people will always find a reason to complain. If it's released with bugs, they'll complain about the lack of quality control. If it's delayed, they'll complain about the missed deadline. If there are changes, they'll complain about not being consulted. If there are no changes, they'll complain about stagnation. It's difficult to please everyone, but it's important to focus on delivering the best patch possible and addressing any valid concerns or criticisms from players...
Let them do the job... everyone can complain after once again hehe
Unfortunately, the volume of work remaining for the patch has proven impossible to complete in time for the planned release date for today, particularly where last-minute bugfixing and polish is concerned. For transparency's sake, there has been a lot of debate among the team as to whether we should release today and try and hotfix as many of these issues as possible, or whether another delay is the best course of action, and we've come to the conclusion that another (much shorter!) delay is the lesser of two evils.
Much like the first delay, this is not a decision that was taken lightly. The team has been working overtime to prepare the patch for launch, but given the sheer scale of the update and the breadth of brand new features we're looking to introduce into the game, it's become increasingly clear that this is a patch unlike any other. New and impressive features come with new and impressive bugs, however, and we cannot release the update in its current state in light of a few last glitches that have recently been discovered.
The new release date is firmly locked-in on October 6th at 19:00 UTC, exactly one week from today. Again, we can't thank you enough for your patience and support, and we only hope the update we have in store proves to be worth the wait.
Just say the truth, you started to build the next patch since maybe August ... nothing else ... you have not did really lot for the game and now the time eats up ... That would be OK ... I CAN WAIT as much as needed, as long the LEND-LEASE LONDON INTERDICTOR still be able to get into the game, take your time ... take it easy~ as long you keep my precious COLLECTOR's EDITION ship, is fine for me :3 (Seriously, 3rd delay now, but as long you keep that ship you can delay it till 1st Jan 2024) of course

And so shall they fall, all who bear our mark. No matter who they are, no rank, nor title, nor power shall shield them. When the mark finds them, their time is nigh.
I'm not a professional like the people from GC, but I, too, will tell you what you should do:
Instead of taking the blame, blame @Antonio. Like, that's a no-brainer. Since Antonio returned to Discovery, there hasn't been any patch, so if you add one and one, you get two
