Name:Eileen Harding. Date of Birth:811-03-25. Place of Birth:Planet Leeds. Place of Residence:Planet New London. Pilot Licence registration number:EH-153251-7 Professional Experience (if any):Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering, and a 1-year apprenticeship as a space traffic controller (level 5). Motivation for Enlisting:Ever since my family was evacuated from Leeds, I've wanted to give back to Bretonia. I studied engineering in university, following my passion for spacecraft systems, and it was there that I discovered that I wanted to be a traffic controller. With traffic control falling under the jurisdiction of the police authority, I've decided that I want to join the Civil Defense Initiative--a group where anyone can make a difference in Bretonia, no matter their background! I want to help the working people of Bretonia and keep the trade lanes safe for them, upholding the highest possible standards for anyone traveling in or through Bretonia. I'm a certified space traffic controller, and I'm ready to do my part for Bretonia. Please pick me!

Thank you for your application to the Civil Defence Initiative.
While you are correct that, ah, the Civil Defence Initiative allows anyone to make a difference regardless of their background... I... Sorry, I don't want to be presumptuous, but there are other law enforcement tracks qualified candidates might pursue in your circumstances.
Having reviewed your educational attainment, apprenticeship results and references, you would seem to be very well placed for an application into the central BPA traffic control unit stationed in New London. This is a very well regarded unit with excellent career prospects.
For the sake of my own conscience, I need to verify that you did indeed intend to set these opportunities aside and apply for enlistment in the Militia instead? To be explicitly clear, we are headquartered on Sprague, and many of your potential duties would revolve around the situation here.
My colleagues told me the same thing that you're telling me now. New London is a prestigious post that I'm qualified for, but the trade lanes in the heartlands of Bretonia are the safest place of all for civilian pilots. It's on the border and in the periphery of her influence that Bretonia most needs competent and capable traffic controllers! A selfish focus on my own future should never come before the good of the people, and I intend to give my all where Bretonia needs me most: in the Civil Defense Initiative! I could ask for no greater honor than serving alongside the constables of Planet Sprague.

Thank you for making your aspirations clear. I have approved the first stage of your application.
The next step is to attend our headquarters at Wharferdale, Sprague for a formal interview with one of our inspectors. Following that, a flight assessment will gauge your current capabilities. There are directions at the spaceport, and on arrival at Stanbrook Hall, one of the desk sergeants will be able to provide specific instructions.
In the event that you pass assessment and induction, you will swear your attestation of office and be issued with a warrant card as a special constable. Please hold on to any travel and accomodation receipts and we'll be able to reimburse you for reasonable expenses. Congratulations, and good luck.
