' Wrote:Akumabito, you seem to live in some odd dimension where time doesn't exist. We've just started trying to figure out -how- to fix it, and have already said one way we'll try. Yet you demand proof, and we've only made such points tonight! What, does time not exist where you are?
For the love of whatever god you worship, GIVE US SOME TIME TO IMPLEMENT BEFORE YOU SAY WE AREN'T DOING ANYTHING.
No reason to yell. Calm. Logical.
My only question is why all of a sudden now, when the issues brought up here have been going on for so long? I could believe there was some real drive for change if there was some reason for you admins to see things differently than you have since forever. What's that reason?
Simple, Akumabito. The community has changed in the last three months, rather than being totally unified it's become a fractured schizophrenic thing. We can see this now, and we can see that our latest round of decisions have deeply affected some people. That was not the intention. It has caused a huge backlash that has affected many members some of whom we wouldn't expect, people we can use as a barometer for community integrity. That is what has altered. In order to bring us back together, all of us, things obviously need to change. This will take some time.

So it's suddenly affecting someone the admins are biased for instead of against? Is this about a recent faction leader issue? Or am I reading that wrong?
If that's the case is this sudden change going to actually be applied across the board, or only to these "people we can use as a barometer for community integrity", so that you go back to selective bias that existed for so much longer and that you seemingly still supported earlier today?
please......just...stop Akumabito. Stop hammering them. You've said your bit, The've said their bit. Please rest for a day or two before posting about them again.

It's only hammering because they aren't answering the question, except for Del who's answer seems to indicate that these changes are not going to be across the board and instead are being done for a specific group, but he hasn't clarified since that statement.
Far more than your $0.02, Akumabito. Please dont try to incite an admin rebellion on this matter, or any one in the future. People just turn off when they read your posts, so much so that everything you write "falls on deaf ears" so to speak, even though its our eyes with which we read.
On the part concerning me, I apologise for not responding much earlier.

Jes' comment, a decision made by four administrators, was made under the assumption that some time during the past year, the character in question had lost the Snubnose in a fight. In other words, died. In that year, Rheinland has significantly tightened up on security, and it would be rather difficult to get away with another such craft to constantly replace the one in use.
-HOWEVER-, since there is a good RP story for this craft and, although we don't have an answer yet and will have to verify and trust Sonja in this matter, it has not fallen to enemy guns yet, there is a likely chance the ship will be allowed to remain.
Heck, at this point I'm even discussing throwing out the previous year of possession and making a "from this point forward" declaration regarding the craft. As-in, should the ship be destroyed in combat from this point forward, you'll have to get another one. Another one being any one of the bombers currently on market, such as the bounty hunter bomber, civilian bomber, or, due to Kusari ties, even the kusari bomber with some dealing with the KNF.
I have just sent a reply to Fellow Hoodlum detailing that my character has indeed died in combat once, perhaps more, but once I can clearly remember (minus practice fights). I can see the logic behind denial of use because of losing the ship once. However, I feel it isn't fair. There are a lot of characters that have one ship-of-a-kind, Mon'star's name crops up off the top of my head. Now, Im sure he's died in that destroyer. Dieing in this game is a given, it will happen. It was designed as a PVP oriented game. But if such a rule exists, then where does this particular character procure so many Outcast destroyers from?
Regarding your last paragraph, I would like it if I had some warning before knowing I had to keep my craft safe. Though, I think such a rule would defeat the point entirely. I play my character to have fun, and such a rule doesn't let me have fun with something I worked hard to obtain. Playing a game without having fun is just a waste of time, isnt it?
Even though my character died, I'd like people who have roleplayed for their ships, (not, chosen a ship and roleplayed for it...) to keep them despite their apparent "one use only" tag. The roleplay such a rule contributes is not matched by the fun taken away by a rule. Im sure if Dreygon was asked to replace his Outcast destroyer because its been killed so many times, and it was forced on him, a sizable amount of his fun playing this game would be lost.
I'd like the fun-factor of playing this game to be considered as well as the roleplay-factor. There is a balance to be struck, especially since the game mechanics dont allow full roleplay. If this was EVE however, then full roleplay would be possible.
Simple fact is Akumabito, you've found a bone and your determined to carry it as far as it will go, we've said we'll do something about it, why keep yelling from the highest treetops? Your destroying what little sense you were making. The "barometer" I use is generally the ones who stay silent during most points, when they begin acting up, that's when something is seriously out of whack. These can be newer peoples and older peoples too. I don't care if I know them or speak to them on Skype, if they send me PM's everyday asking how my day is. Or whether they and I never cross orbits, they are usually quiet and getting on with the job of playing, now they are vocally speaking out.
Sonja, this will all be taken into account. You raise good points. Thank You.

Fair enough Del, the only thing I would point out is that this issue isn't new, in fact it's very old, it's just been dismissed by you and others as "bone picking" "rabble rousing" and what ever other dismissive term you use.
I've had conversations on skype with people who don't agree with me at all on anything, but do agree that there is an issue with admins disrespecting all but a select number of players that has been going on a long time.
Up to now, where somehow you finally got religion.
Good luck, I hope you do get some transparency and stop the dismissive and arrogant post locking with one liners that admins like so much, actually do get an appeal process beyond ignoring PM's, and actually start to treat everyone equally.
That would great. I would love a server where it doesn't take three months to get a canned appeal that ignores every point applicable to the situation at hand.
Of course your dismissive locking of my other thread after evading a straight answer doesn't exactly predict that you will be successful, or that you even want to be, does it?
I would like this to be taken into consideration by all who view. It was made firstly for Aku's post but it was locked before I finished it.
I would think that desicions made on policy and individuals should be made visible. I know that our scype meeting had no personal details, vulgarities, or personal insults yet the content is being avoided.
We are not protecting anyones personal life. We are protecting admin popularity and posterity. That or the request is being denied for the chat to be made public out of spite. ANother motive not perfessional or indicitive of a non bias admin team we "trust" to keep things fair.
Why would the admin team deny the scype chat we had from being visible? It was fair, well thought out, and just right?
Of course refuseing to let me post serves my purposes far better for now. Thats demonstrating the high scholl cliche mentality, ego driven desicion makeing, and lack of leadership experience.
However I suppose there is no admin camp, to train "good" admins. we just have to hope for the best after various popularity contest.
Despite me bashing and hateing on the team for now, I will give credit where it is due. 80% of the actions taken are helpful but I gets very muck laden when you mess with a subjective topic like other peoples art.
Some see a dot on a canvas and say "I could do that" others see a master piece. I think that there need to be iron clad "box" for us to check, to get what we want and eliminate the opinion from the desicion.
Your always going to frown on someone you dont care for's RP, and give the benefit of the doubt to those you do.
Do you honestly think that I will get a fair shake on any RP I creat here? Not presently. I dont think Akumbito will either.
There maybe others but perhaps we are loudest now. Just keep in mind I'm not always loud, Im loud now.
Heck 1 post after we were told calm, civil, polite, and collected. I get an evasion and a F- NO! from an admin.
