RFP - Gunboat (Textured Version)

not bad at all, I wouldnt mind getting one of those for the Rheinland Military. The texture is a little bit "plated" but overall it is an excellent model, just change up the texture a bit

- The pointy snout seems a bit out of line.
- The engine exhaust aztec temple bit is a little out of line.
- The engine texture is a poor.
- Might have a lot of windows for a ship that small.
- Is the ship intended to have torps? I might have missed that part.
- I think I like what you did with the overall engine shape, sans exhaust.
- I don't think I've ever seen a more intimidating stapler.
- Could use a nice bit to look like cargo doors.
- I don't have an opinion on the "police" getting a gunship.

Look I know you probably worked hard on this, but gunboat is an equivalent of a heavy tank in my eyes and has nothing to do in service of the police.

The ship is actually intended to be a light Gunship, something like the Bottlenose.

Dusty, once again I thank you for putting my words in a simpler context, because I would agree with all of those points.

I like the ship a lot, and believe you have done a great job. However, the contest does not finish until April 25th, and other people may still have entries. I like to give a fair chance for people to fit designing a ship into their schedule, so this model has yet to be approved.

P.S. Can you change the word Gunboat in the topic title to Gunship? The difference may not be much, but it is there.

The lower part of the vessel could use some more decorative elements, spikes or components of sorts. It looks a bit uhm... plain. It's pretty awesome otherwise, but maybe it's a bit too thick to serve as the Rheinland equivalent of the Bottlenose.

Also, where can I express my opinion on the background RP/need of this ship again?

Heck, I like it. But as it has been said before, there are too much windows on it. I would delete those vertical ones and maybe even the ones in the ships middle right above that weapon hard point.

Well, thinking like this you should forbid GBs for every police player including all the indies in Liberty.
I don't know where you're from but at my place the police uses larger vessels to support normal officers on duty when it comes to a dangerous situation.

In my humble opinion, the texturing is a bit bright, you could improve the model by darkening the textures, but other than that, it is great! As a Police Gunship, I would hope the armament would be light compared to the Military Gunboat, because as stated above, this is a patrol vessel, not a warship. Does that forward hardpoint mount a forward heavy weapon? I would think that if it did, it would be ratehr superficial, as this was supposedly an anti-fighter and smuggler interdiction vehicle. All in all, great model, the texturing should be a bit darker though.
