Because they can and the Kusari-Liberty link was the least patrolled In-rp due to tensions between both houses that dates from Vanilla, which let Unlawfuls prosper.

The BHG base in Shikoku isn't even BHG in-rp, they just own a desk there and assure the security within the station only, not Shikoku. It really is a Samura base. It's there so Libertonians can't get further into Kusari.

While IC has Liberty origins, they are the only insurance company in Sirius, so it was easy for them to get that base in NT.

Actually the IC base was built there when they Pulled Kusari and Rheinland's asses from the fiya.
Because they got themselves in massive debt for the Gates/Lanes.

As for halting Libertonians... We fly past it in literally -every- Gate run:D

That's because Samura had a Vanilla contract to ship lanes into Kusari I think.

There's a JH to Galileo from Shikoku. On the other side of it is a Lane Hacker base. When the fancy takes us we can pop into Shikoku, pop a few traders and disappear back into no mans land before the KNF even get a wiff of us. Any further out is too dangerous and we risk getting caught.

The only Vanilla contracts were Universal and DSE.
I think Samura is helping build the Chogoku gate, which is where they're supposedly stealing parts.
