1. hang out on the forums, read the story threads, look at the 'naughty step', check out the factions
2. have yourself a bundle of characters, pirate, trader, freelancer, merc, military, corrupt police, w/e
3. if you really, really, really want a cap ship, try it out on single player, and learn it's weaknesses (turning circle of a planet, asteroid fields = pinball, getting stuck on jumpgates, jumpholes, docks, explosive decompression as some starflea slaps you into a planet). If you still want one, keep it for special occasions.
4. don't go into NY.
5. try your hand at an RP introduction for your characters
6. take a gander around gallia
7. have fun, and try not to let your fun reduce other peep's fun
8. don't re-engage or lulwut
9. if you're in a sabre, with corsair guns, a liberty ID, a kusarian IFF, hauling contraband to planet cambridge, expect to get splattified by the ban hammer
10. don;t forget to transfer your id back when you buy a new ship. if it doesn't move back across, its not transferred
Ah, I think there needs to be a good "rule" to be addressed.
Most importantly play along with others RPs i.e. you're not the best person out there or another Trent, but just a minority. In reality we are all civilians and it makes everyone enjoy the game more if your reasonable and come to a sort of instinctual compromise between your two RPs.
Don't be afraid to speak you mind, ever.
If you think of a faction idea, give it a night, and if you find nothing wrong submit it. If it gets shot down, keep trying. I think everything has a place here.
Don't be afraid to ask for a loan. Usually bigger ships means exponential profits. I would offer you a loan but I am broke currently.
-> good loan size is 15mil, enough to get a Gull and start trading. Pirates shouldn't tax you that much if you're in a Gull either.
Enjoy the server rather than making the money. It always seems that players who suck at fighting or bombing get more enjoyment and self admiration out of perfecting their skills rather than cruising around in a billion dollar kill machine.
If you want to be legal. Never ever try smuggling or piracy, you'll get hooked.
Again like someone said above (cannot recall) feel free to PM more information, advice... etc.
Thanks a lot for your warm welcome:)
I finally joined Kusari Naval Forces, you might see me in space time to time as [KNF]Shiki.Tohno:P
Don't worry I have came to this server only for fun, I am not here to make money or hunt people (unless they don't respect kusari laws of course ^ _ ^ )
I am trying to RPs as much as possible although I am not used and I will probably need a bit more training.
Don't hesitate to give feedback if you see me ;-)
