Most all the homeworld ships.. (Kadesh, Kushan, Somtaaw) state somewhere on the info cards that they were either "discovered" by the Zoners, or are built by the Zoners. So what in Thud are they doing being sold on Rheinland bases and battleships? Makes no sense. They should be scattered about on Zoner bases or Freeports. The majority of then are either light to medium heavy fighters, or freighters, which should be accesible to lower level "freelancers" or other types starting out on a budget. Placing them on Freeports would facilitate their use.
And, then we have a Rheinland Bomber available on a Corsair base, Yaren. Absurd. Give it slots on the two Battleships where the homeworld ships are now based. As to the Taiidan, i could probably remain at Yaren as an alternative fo unlawfuls.
I'm sure there are other examples of misplaced, "orphaned" ships. The Talon may not belong on G.C. The little Death Scythe LF on Bornholm could be located a bit more centrally, for newer players as well.
Perhaps a review of all ship locations might be in order before the next upgrade.. Hmm?

Yeah, that's something that's been in my mind, too. The Bomber problem has been brought up at least twice. I think it's been decided that the RH Bomber is indeed moving.
The Homeworld ships ought to move, too. I just don't have any place in mind right now. But there are still other orphans (or rather children that were seperated from their true parents at birth and given to some other family) out there. The Raven Claw, for example is listed as being developed by Kishiro, and then stolen by the LSF. However, it is currently sold on a Junkers base, quite far from both Kusari and Liberty. And the IMG Albatross-- sold on a Samura base. These things just aren't right.
Other ships, which I would call the real orphan ships, are ships like the Slipstream. Sold on both a Hackers base and a Bundschuh base, but nowhere in the infocard does it say anything about who developed it, or where it came from. All it does is gloat about how speedy the thing is. Other such orphans are the Camara and the Crow.
Yeah, Lorry's right. A list would be helpful. I might be able to come up with one and put it in the suggestions thread (which, by the way, is probably where this entire thread should go). Thanks for bringing it up, Mal.
Also, Why the HELL are Capships not on the capital planets? I understand making it a LITTLE difficult and annoying for people to find them, but putting the Liberty Cruiser on a PLANETFORM base??
That's serious breech of military secruity!

I have a totally oposite opinion. Capships shouldn't be on planets at all... they should be at shipyards. The first time I landed at Pittsburg and saw a battleship sitting there I laughed out loud. I assume when the guy at the docking ring tells me my ship is too big to service that means I'm too big to land on or launch from the planet; hence moorings.
I understand what you mean puff, but the reason they aren't on Shipyards is because players cannot utilize the giant dock "tube" on shipyards like NPCs.
The Capship would be stuck before take-off.

Wrongo. Capships can launch from Shipyards just fine
Actually the reason most of the big ships aren't sold on shipyards is probably that theres only a few of them that sell any ships.
As for moving ships, I agree.
However the taiidan bomber needs to move off yaren as well. If the Rh bomber gets moved cos it's not a corsair ship then why leave a GMG bomber on there?

GMG, eh?
(Trust Maurader to actually have read the info card.)
If that is the case, then yeah, it's an orphan too.
