Getting a spaceship blown up is as trivial as it gets, unless you really have invested a lot of time in this game to the point where it becomes all-consuming. I'm sure many others have had equally nasty things happen to them in-game. There's a lot of people playing this game, who unfortunately have to communicate via the internet. So not only do we encounter the occasional moron and never really connect with them as human beings, but we have to endure their silly attitudes as well.

If Zig has demonstrated less-than-perfect attitudes, then that is, frankly, his prerogative and his responsibility to bear. I guess many people won't be selling him weapons anytime soon. Or buying ship from blunty. But that's neither here nor there, because this is the "Errant Venture got banned from the forums for a week because he broke forum rules about posting" thread.

Such a flow of generosity and kind-heartedness. Not much of it around when he actually lost his weapons-store though.

A player chooses to use the sanction thread (opened for discussion) to rub someone's nose in it. Some people post about relations between these players and the rest of the community. Others post off-hand remarks in an attempt at levity. That's what happens when people interact on internet forums. It isn't necessarily nice or pleasant. But the alternative is stifling discussion. You don't think the guy deserved the sanction based on what he posted? It's not clear. You seem to imply that he didn't. I'm sure many agree with you. Just as I'm sure many disagree with you. Thing is, it has happened.

If you have any complaint about anything else posted elsewhere in the forums that might be missed, please don't hesitate to bring it to a moderator or administrator's attention.

I do not know where his post comes from nor what made him post such a thing. I just got a report from someone pointing to that post, and after being discussed on his sanction thread it was decided that he would get seven days off the forums so he could cool down. It seems that his post did offend some people after all.

Neither I knew he was away nor anything like that. I do not stab people in the back. If he wants to discuss his sanction with me he is welcome to do so either by PM, mail, xfire or by Skype.

Regarding forum posts, If you see other insulting posts, please report them. Remember that I can't read every single post on the forums. If those do not get reported, do not expect me to sanction their authors unless I stumble upon their offending posts. It is very hard to stay up to date about everything when you have to deal with an ever changing community of a thousand or so active members.

If those do not get reported, do not expect me to sanction their authors unless I stumble upon their offending posts. It is very hard to stay up to date about everything when you have to deal with an ever changing community of a thousand or so active members.
