"Take a seat. Both of you." He motioned to two empty chairs, as if he was expecting this visit. Which, they both took a seat in. Joseph soon sat down in his own chair, looking quite content.
"Monsieur Adnot, clear the bar, don't let anyone in until I'm done." He said gently, as the Guard shot a questioning glance at his majesty, but complied with the order. As requested, other patrons of the bar got up and left. While his Guards stood outside.
"Monsieur Claude," He said lightly, "What you, and Madame Ciel are about to hear is true. As I wouldn't lie to my own people." He paused, showing hardly any expression as his eyes narrowed once more. "What I said in Champagne that day was indeed true. Princess DeFrance was attempting a power grab. Not to kill the King, nor the Queen. But myself." His voice was cold as he leaned back in his chair. "Our intelligence service came across a few communications, which were intact with a few of my own personal royal guard. As you notice, Monsieur Adnot is clearly new to the assignment." He paused slightly catching his breath, "My life was on the line, as was hers the moment the idea came into her feeble mind. I was only looking out to protect myself, and the future of my family, my house, and my fathers Kingdom. If I hadn't reacted as quickly as I did, you'd be asking the same from her."
He paused once more and shifted slightly in his seat before picking up the nearby bottle of wine and pouring himself a glass. Setting the bottle back down he took a sip, and continued.
"As I said, I wasn't planning on lying to my people. I told the dire truth. I will not deny the fact that my sister is a wicked person. She's tormented and killed innocents without cause. Infront of my own eyes. I know neither of you would forgive me for this act." He leaned over to the right and pulled out a royal navy standard issued pistol and sat it on the table next to him. "I did what I had to."
He finished, in a monotoned voice, but showing no expression, and giving a cold stare at Claude.
Prince's cold look was piercing through Claude's eyes. Then Claude looked on his weapon, and after a while of starring at it, he smiled.
"I guess i always knew..."he said to prince then.",the way she acted, like a cocky brat, giving orders to everyone who flew around her...while not even being member of main fleet...finished Claude, somehow released from his temper and curiosity he looked out of the window towards stars. Then he said...
"I just want you to know that i don't judge you for what you did, and that i believe in you my lord." said Claude with still the same smile
"And thank you, for being honest with me. Honesty is one of the most important attributes of a leader. I have no doubts you will become great king in the meantime."
"Now, unless there is something you want to discuss with me, i shall take my leave, and let you speak with lady Ciel personally. I am sure you will be please by news she brings you. finished Claude. He returned back to his normal personality, with restored confidence.
Carnage itself flying within void... Proud cardihead ever since 2008...
You all gonna eat cardi!
Lady Ciel's Face remained expressionless throughout the exchange. Ignoring the pistol on the table, she calmly said to the prince, "The vengance has been destroyed by my hand." Slowly she rose, drawing her sword. "However, your killing the princess was quite messy. But it had to be done." She salutes him with the sword, and slams it back into its sheath, the Fluer-de-lys on it shining in the candlelight. "If you will excuse me, i have a few things i must take care of, letters to write for fallen men. See you in space, My prince." With that, she strode out of the bar, expressionless, as always.
