Same here, I only play two / three characters and most of the time doesn't even log on discovery because I always have around 10 millions left for all my chars. Trading is waaay too slow.
Basically : want to start a new roleplay ? Spend your two weeks of holidays trading to do it.
This is a serious discussion, not a pointless +1 session for you wrack up more posts.
But back on topic, trading is fine and dandy if you just want a low-end ship, or one that is unarmoured. Sure, you can get a Cruiser with a Capital 2, but you want more armour so even if you're an RP platform, you're still facing the threat of warring nations, lolwutters, and pirates. More armour, more ability to fight or run away.
I have multiple fighters, bombers, and gunboats, but almost none of them have armour past Cap 1/Universal 5. I just can't afford it while supplying my ships with B/B, ammo, etc.
What a delightful thread, full of pretty flowers, good cheer, and the occasional kitten batting playfully at a brilliantly-colored butterfly.
I entirely agree with the general sentiment here.
I don't want more caps.
I just like HAVING money, so if I get BORED, I can go MAKE whatever ship I WANT TO.

Treewyrm Wrote:all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.
i also forward that it needs to be fixed, we cant slave over a PC all day, sure it gets rid of LOLWUTS, but heh, its making us LOLWUTS by sitting for hours and only making say... 100 - 130 million (not even that)
