it can work, and its good RP related.
like if unlawfull got captured (sending to prison) its possible that some get him to break out? xD
ofcourse, only when they are underway to the prison, once in the prison, the mission failed, and he has to serve his time

It's a pointless effort that goes nowhere.
Uhm, yeah.
I'm somewhere around 20 with the people who complied with the arrest warrant issued only by my main character. An event was based on one of them lately.
It's hardly worth it spending 20 minutes escorting some fine infidel to the prison facility, have him dock, then have him come out with, "permission from the authorities", to go free.
It's happened so many times I can't count.
It's RPing and getting socked in the nuts for doing it.
'Stop right there, criminal scum! Yeah, land on that station there. And don't dare fire your ship's guns once you've been allowed through past the station's defense grid! Yeah, that's right, we need to have our main reactor in the freaking hangar bay, but you'd better just not do anything. We're watching you.'

Matter of preference, really. There are individuals who consider any sort of RP unimportant. My experience with this is that in most cases, these events prove to be fine pieces of role-play from both sides, enhancing mutual enjoyment. No one forces you to issue an arrest warrant though.

Game mechanics, anyone?
Be creative; during arrests I usually order them to switch off their weapons, jettison their ammo and make the station 'tow in' the disabled outlaw ship.
I do like the idea, neat idea, but it will only work, as people have stated, if pirates do not use the Prison as a staging post, and if people are prepared to RP properly. Perhaps in RP terms we can have the owners of the base as some sort of Private corporation that imprisons people for a fee. A terrible idea to be honest, but someone needs to think of an RP reason for the Prisons.

I do.

Depends on who the "good guys" are, and the faction the "good guys" are in.
Instead of adding pointless things in game use your imagination. IF they let you arrest them, them F1'n or blowing up near it is the same thing as them docking. Difference? Dev's don't have to waste their time putting in a base that can and will be abused and thus cause the admins more time via sanction reports.
No. Nice idea but not worth the effort. Use your imagination, this is a game.
Perhaps we could have hostile prisons, but a /prison server command (working similar to the /restart command) which a criminal could type, to transport themselves to the local prison?
(to avoid abuse, could confiscate all cargo at the same time). This would allow players who want to RP going to prison to do so, whilst ALSO allowing tough RP rescue-missions to potentially be undertaken by his/her pals.

So no need for neutral prisons in my opinion.
I did once, that was the actual Reason for that Event in Rheinland we had last Week. I don't see anything wrong with that and I'd do it again.

Not really, the Escape Pod could escape, the Escape Pod could be blown up by the Impact or the Person doesn't even get his Pod to work and dies.
I would like to see that, we have the Bases. Why don't just put them onto neutral? Last Time I had to F1 in a Scrapfield and the RM brought the Character to New Berlin.
