Actually the big difference is that:
-The voidrunner isnt available to ever schmuck with a few credits to spare
-The voidrunner has fewer guns than any other mk2 light fighter or VHF in the mod, and most keepers will attest that it's a horrible ship to fly on your own in, only useful in groups when you can multiply it's firepower between several players

the voidrunner is just as evil to fly solo as is any VHF, me, or zach, or any order| who's been solo'd by one in minor can attest to that.

only reason i dont like flying one is cuz it turns way too fast, and i hate LFs in general, otherwise id fly one. plus, i like my wraith.

and the nomad lasers arent bad, 3 2.00 lasers + nomad torp or cd + nukes is just as horrible as facing say.. a bastet employing a shotgun tactic with say... 4 arches, 2 dark blossoms + razor (which does work, i flew that setup for a wee while)

but this isnt about nomad ships, tis bout the kusari dessie, and since i dont really have any experience with it, cant comment on it.

So, let's say I grab a Kusari Destroyer, I'd be able to kill all of you?

Let's put some names here.

Teschy, if you are with 2 or 3 other guys flying bombers against my Kusari Destroyer, do you think I'd be able to kill you all?

Tenacity, want to test the Kusari Destroyer against a Rheinland Cruiser or a Liberty Battlecruiser and see how overpowered it is?

When it's about a 1 vs 1, if you are in something smaller than a cruiser, you will lose against a kdessie, just like you would lose against anyother dessie.

If you are in a cruiser, it depends on both players' skills, like in any other ship class, because if it's about the size, no one should survive flying alone in a barghest, a titan, a blood dragon bomber, a templar, etc, after all those are bigger and slower than the rest ships of their class.

If it's not a 1 on 1, let's say 2 vs 1:

2 Fighters: Would probably die, like against any other dessie, unless exceptional cases (we all know how bad people are mark, naukhie and ench against lonely cruisers).

2 Bombers: Could win, could lose, depends on their skills. I have killed 4 bombers with my Ku Dessie, I've been killed by 2 QCP bombers in my Ku dessie too.

2 Gunboats: Depends on skills.

1 Bomber, 1 Gunboat: Depends on skills.

Of course, it's not always like that, not everyone fight in the same way.
As I said, it depends on players' skills.

Ask connor, he can testify how him on his VHF and 1 trident defeated my KNF dessie without suffering heavy damage. But of course, he's biased right?

It fires only forward!! If there are 3 ships fighting it, you should be able to get behind it, at least 2 of you.

I can't believe that experienced players are saying that anyone flying a Kusari Destroyer could beat them.And those who are not so experienced, they will learn!!!

I fly the voidrunner the least often of my nomad ships. Prefer the bomber just about any time I decide to go nom people =P

The problem is not with the Kusari Destroyer.

The problem lies with the Bretonian GB which is ridiculously large, regardless of whether God himself made it or not. The problem also lies with the BD cruiser needing a tad more maneuverability and a tad more damage from the forward gun.

I flew the old OC Destroyer against Mjolnir and lost due to me just being plain terrible, since I was intoxicated and I just felt like charging. It worked fine. I have no idea about the new one, but I will try it out.

That's a bit like saying that "Rheinland BS is uber cause it has so much armor" or "Werewolf is uber just look at the armor, agility and guns" or "Geb is uber cause it has BS shield"... or my favourite:

"Sabre is uber cause it's only VHF with 7 guns"

There are always more sides to a ship than just size. Spazzydragon explains it. I have ran out of steam writing things over and over again, to be met by "it's uber cause it's small" arguments from people that never fight it or fly it. I have high ranking BAF members who were testing it and were ok with how it is now, at some point I also invited some other BAF people to test it personally.

The size was made this way by vanilla developers, just like Bretonian Gunboat size or Rheinland BS size.

To fill some people in:

Sabre AND Nomad VHF has 7 guns

I have solo'd 2 Ku dessies in a falcata AFTER the agility and gun nerf of bombers. It is EASY, just use snac and tcd's. Ku Dessi is less powerful then a adv train once you get behind it, even with razors.

Reason why people die in their barghests/challengers is because they joust the dessi from the side or front, thats where you are easy prey during turret view. People also cant use novas right, they nova themselves or miss all the time.

How to use nova?
its 2 ways:

#1: Stay at range and spam, hope the target is too stupid to dodge or ignores them by misstake.
#2: Ram the ship in the side, Spam the "Shiled batteries" button when you launch it. Keep your shields up, nova ramming is in some cases twice as effective as a snac. If you do it right.

If im not misstaken the BD FW gun can fire more often then the libby cruiser one. Thus being better even with less damage.

The bret GB is alongside Trident, RM and "Lunchbox" THE strongest gunboats in game. Its pretty agile, and that forward cannon is just scary.... Why do you think its the QCP's favourite ship besides the Shire?
