When you die, your "in space" while your at the respawn screen, yet your "not playing".....
and sometimes, while trading (at peak times), i look at who leaves or not(i got -dptplayer on). i see someone die, and then after like, 40 minutes, THEIR STILL THERE. In the same system, and this is not a "oh, but hes probably playing". No.
Iv'e been outside a planet various times, i do the trade route. Someone die when i go, just for the heck of it i "monitor" the players who die (and dont leave the game). Then 30 minutes later, they hasn't left the system, nor has they left the game. And i know from personal experiments, that planetdiving before going to the toilet or somewhere else will keep you from being booted for baseidling.
So.... can we get this fixed? Because in average, there is atleast 3-5 players using this "slotsaving" method during peak times. And it pisses me off since i get troubble getting ingame due to some lazy idiot dieing and then goes off to the movies or his grandmother who lives up in the far mountains of antarktica.
It can't be that hard to FLHook this. And honestly, going afk this way is evil. You cant be killed/kicked by other then admins.
i know, but atleast then, admins can find you and kill you. With "my" method, you must be kicked. And they gotta kick you because someone tells them the guy is inactive.
sometimes you dont. and even IF you get kicked right away, you have still saved that slot for what? X ammount of hours. Say you went away for 2 hours during peak hours (which is like 9-12 pm gmt+1).... thats 197/198 spots "playable"
And then some other jerks does the same, now its 193/198 slots "playable". Thus, 5 players have to wait for some .......... to get back and get kicked. Or untill someone leaves, but we all know that during peak times, it can take from 30 seconds to 15 minutes to get on the server
Yes it can be annoying trying to get on the server at peak times.
But unfortunately, I don't think there's much that can be done about people slotsaving.
