I've had this idea, to make render videos for Peoples Forum RP, Importing the Freelancer Models, allows me to manipulate them in ways not possible in the freelancer engine.
For now, I'm still kind of new to the whole Lightwave 3D Rendering Scene (Only started 4 days from now)
So basically, what I've rendered so far is a couple of Sigs in AVI Format- then exported to Gif (Ofcourse Gif's do not come without discolouration problems.)
So i was wondering, if it would be a good idea to make Videos for Forum RP, Like sequences of Ships Flying By, the close ups of ships, or, if you so wish, i could make Transparent backed renders of ships, so that you could use them in a sig of yours, eg. Having a Rotating ship next to Your Chars name.
Basically, all i've made so far are there:
*Ofcourse, I'm still finding a way to export to gif without the Size being too big, and the quality being too low.
*If you're in Germany, then you probably wont be able to watch it on youtube due to Copyrights with the music, Try watching it here: http://tinypic.com/m/b5k461/3
People with slow connection will hate your for the image size. Those gif's has too many setbacks. Thou I love them. How cool would be if would be allowed to embed videos...

That's my point.
edit: Removed Gifs due to file size and the fact that the discolouration is horrid.
Heh, funny thing, I recently had some ideas about rendering animations, and did one last night.
Here's the Persephone "Warping In", got the idea originally from some of the Supreme Commander animations (which is where the sound fx comes from), but made it into something I could do entirely in POV-Ray (because that's what I use for everything)
And Waratah - there will always be color loss, even if that image doesn't show it, because .gif can only have 256 indexed colors in any frame. period. Your animation uses the trick of changing which colors are in each frame to provide better apparent resolution, but any single frame that has a large range of colors or a smooth gradient will still look like crap.
Some say that he's a CIA experiment that went wrong, and that he only eats cheese. All we know is that he's not The Stig - he's The Stig's American cousin. Wiki sysop (admin-ish) | I do custom ship renders (and bases)
