surely some of you already made similar reports, but i'd like to gather again some attention to it.
Since this should be a RP server, i need to focus attention about lack of RP by lots of traders i'm encountering around whole sirius... :nono:
No conversation, no greets, no thanks, just silently trying to cruise away or start shooting the moment they get CDed. If they want to play those ways, they can easily play in other non-RP servers. :rtfm:
I'm getting quite tired about this. If i'm a pirate I can enjoy some conversation too, even if you are a trader, does it cost some to them?

Role play is not just talking. Role play is fulfilling ones chosen role. The role of most pirates is to get credits or cargo out of a trader quickly and then be done with them. Idle chit chat is a risk for them, most don't want to take the risk.
So, they are actually role playing better than you by demanding the loot and not idleing chit chatting; than you are by just letting them blow you up. I mean, you aren't fulfilling your role as a trader, you're ignoring your role because you don't like how the role play panned out. Your attitude is the problem with the trader/pirate relation ship (pirates also have the same issue).
Point is, don't come here whining about other people's RP when your RP is worse. If you don't like being shot or shooting, you're playing the wrong type of game.

It's not like you can blame them, that's what most of them do. (Or try to silently run away to the system wall or something equally lame)
Oh, please... you know it's impossible to do... Even if i want to call for help, before getting some backup i've been killed 4 times, this is why it's unuseful call help... Please deal with real things, most of them want easy-fast-money, don't want to talk and wait; this for me it's not RP, that's all.
Surely after i've been killed i can underline to local officers the presence of pirates, but after losing millions of credits, in which maybe i spent hours of flying...

Thank you for your consideration about my RP, this is the perfect way to help people leave servers instead of helping. Well, i got no problem on being shot down or shoot (it's a game...:lol:) just asking for some RP; and again, i don't want to make a teatime with pirates, i know it's not their role (how many time will i have to tell this again?)...

Sadly this is not Lack or RP. It is just pretty poor, lack of imagination RP. Most just try to put in Minimum amount of RP, and call it a day. Also people take offence to pretty much anything that is not "thier" RP. Just chill, and have some RP fun back at them. When they get pissed you RP better then them, oh well.

Oh yeah, get a CAU just like the Pirates have, you'll find you'll last MUCH longer, enough for help to arrive in plenty of time.

I do apologize, but I'm not one to care if someone who disregards RP leaves the server. More room for someone that understands role play and wants to partake in it.
You want help? Sure.
You claim to not want to make teatime with pirates, but you are here complaining that they aren't doing just that.
The role of a trader is simple. Ferry goods from A to B. If you get stopped by a pirate, typically, your job then becomes damage control. I'll use my character as an example. He flies a ZBT. Worth 120m. Sometimes I have cargo worth maybe 2 mil on board.
Which is cheaper for my character? Pay a pirate 2 mil and break even or lost an entire ZBT worth 120m?
Its simple, to role play a trader you put yourself in their shoes. What would you do in their place? Refuse to drop some cargo and pay with your life? Some characters might, so that is the right thing to do for them. Most traders are regular joe blows working to make a living, and they'd cough up the cargo to survive.
It all depends on the character. I said your RP sucks, because you didn't give any grounds for why your character would refuse to pay at the cost of his life (aka a lunatic or something). You made it clear you didn't care if they blew you up or not because it is a game. That is ignoring role play because you don't like how it turns out for you. You're being hypocritical. It is okay for you to not role play, but it is sooo very wrong for others to not role play.
