Very interesting group. I'd expect this to happen also, since Liberty is basically taking Penn from the local Zoners. There is no issue with you using the Zoner IFF w/ Pirate ID either. Instead of only using tech found in Penn, I'd advise the use of Zoner equipment also. You are Zoners in role play and with the Pirate ID you can use them freely.
We can't use Zoner IFF, Zoners are neutral to Houses, if we atack traders with Zoner IFF, "true" Zoners would be at our throat for endangering their diplomacy.

As one of the leaders of a 'true' Zoner faction I can assure you we won't be at your throat. The most we will do is inform Liberty we have no ties to you, tell you to stop, and tell Liberty to blow you up if that is what needs to be done. I wouldn't expect much of a warm welcome from us in house space either. However, if you say met one of us around Gran Canaria or on one of the bars on Canaria, you'd likely be welcomed with open arms. I know many players whose Zoner characters have a general dislike of Liberty for the theft of Penn, they just don't let it show openly as to appear to remain neutral.
There are already Zoner pirates on the server and we (we being me, Doc, Lou, and other members of the ZA at the time) came to the conclusion we had no role play right to tell another Zoner what to do, unless they are a member of our faction. I doubt that line of thinking has changed much since I left and returned. This is why you rarely, if ever, see any of the Zoner factions using faction right #2.
Yeah I meant nothing literal with "being at our throat", just more or less what you said. Still, even if the PLF comes from a largely Zoner population base, I doubt it will ever be seen as a Zoner faction.
PS: since the application form didn't ask for an e-mail or anything, will I receive my answer here?
//Well? I thought you were still active... also I did play in Pennsylvania quite continuously in the last days and I didn't see a single PLF ship, nor anyone who knows about them. Are you really active or not? Because PLF can be interesting as a low-level low-resources group, but only if it's played by at least a small group. If not, it's a waste of time. Sorry if I'm a bit direct, but it's better to know it sooner than later.
//The PLF are highly clandestine, flying around Penn looking for us, wont get you anywhere. Asking people in Penn in system chat.." HEY where are the PLF at?" wont get you to them. Maybe try a starting a thread in the comm channel ...Bar on Bethlehem ...and make a post about your character trying to contact the PLF. (closed RP)
The PLF have an agenda. They have a plan and a story line they are trying to follow. PvP is a last resort kinda thing for them.
RP it out mate..hit the bar on the station out that way. start a thread. Just because you don't see a ship with PLF plastered on it doesn't mean they are not there.
On a side note... some things are still getting worked out. People have jobs and lives and starting a new RP idea takes some time.
