These are rhetorical questions more than anything else:
How often has a player or faction created a story to obtain something significantly sub-par to what they would normally have access to? How often has a player or faction created a story to obtain something superior to what they would normally have access to?
By "something" I mean ZoI, equipement and vessels.
No matter how well written or roleplayed, I feel there are certain things that should be offbounds. Getting a Scorpion gb is one of those. To beat the proverbial dead horse, if the Order, the Core or any House Military has been unable to capture and successfully control one, the RR definitely shouldn't be able to.
If you do manage to get everything you're asking for, including the Scorpion, don't be suprised if players lose their respect for you and your group. Think of the ingame ramifications - is it worth it?

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I do not remember seeing any RP of those factions of ever trying to capture one thus making your statement invalid.
It is not overpowered if that concerns so many people, and like Veygaar said if you would read through everything you will be able to see where the RP that made it controllable is.
Sorry for nonsense sentences, I am not in my minds now, will be so later.

They made no attempt to capture one because its kinda oorp to capture one. Its a drone, a nomad drone.
Anyway, in my opinion what you should have done is, just go for official status right now, without all the different special ID, special ship and special RP requests. You are kinda requesting too much at once.
' Wrote:Give them the Scorpion as a faction ship, let them even mount nomad weapons on it, but make it "May only engage in self defense" to underline that this ship is a roleplay ship.
The problem is not any pvp advantage, the problem is it does not fit in the roleplay. The ship is impossible to be controlled by any human. Rorry might be a king but he is not a nomad.
' Wrote:I see a lot of people QQing about the Scorpion.
People are not Q.Qing, they are pointing out what a nonsense you are requesting. I think it might be you Q.Qing not getting the criticism.

It's not a Q_Q or nonsense sentences, it's a legit criticism, given the fact that groups like the LSF and the order are trying to do the same for long time, if a renegade with his small band of thieves can steal a scorpion the LSF should be able to have nomad fleet to their command.
But they don't. Because that would be ooRP for them to be able to mess around with such advance technology which isn't even mechanic, but biologic in it's form. So what people are trying to say is: Stick to your roleplay and reflect it with the ships/gear you use too.

So why haven't they tried it then? Show me the months lasting role play similar to what the Renegades have put up to get theirs.
The Wilde are also humans. They control human ships with nomad technology. The Scorpion is an exception for showing how human build technology and nomad technology can be of synergism.
The split up of the Bounty Hunters Guild into the regular Bounty Hunters and the Bounty Hunter Core had the aim to acquire Nomad technology next to The Order.
See this SRP:
Character Name: BHG|Core- (Mantas in Outer Rim worlds ONLY)
Forum Name: To be determined - certain ships with weapons only given out by Athenian / Agmen
Item Requested: Useage of 2 Nomad weapons on BHG|Core- fighters
Background RP:
I got told there is no background as the faction was made for this SRP.
Apart from this I am not aware of any role play similar to the role play of the Renegades to get their hands on anything like this. I may have missed it of course, so please prove me wrong.
In my eyes they meet the former criteria for a SRP.
I would like to add something about the scorpion. Everyone that said its "oorp" to use scorpion with a human char is right.
Here is the original inforcard of the ship:
Quote:Very little is known about this ship as none have been captured and very few survive seeing it. What is known is that the Nomads have created this ship in conjunction with their infested human counterparts; Das Wilde. No human pilot has been detected piloting one of these ships.
Well I think the info says it pretty much clearly. The scorpion was created by the nomads to serve as more suitable shell for the das wilde. They are infested humans (controlled by Incubus: nomad) which is commanding the human shell and the drone. The Incubuses are the nomad agents, considered as the nomad most advanced "weapon" to spy on the humans.
The only ones capable of flying the drones (scorpions) are the infested wilders (incubuses). Everyone else is simply powerless.
From the info card you can see nobody ever captured a scorpion alive, so if |RR did that somehow..., then they would be swarmed by order and LSF agents instantly and hunted to death. Such secret of a human being ever found piloting these drones could be of a great importance and the ship would never survive more than few days before been captured.
Before you ask me I would like to state that I was reading all your "drone involved RP" and I find it very interesting but its really ooRP for a human to fly a drone. It is just too much for a SRP.
p/s:
' Wrote:The Wilde are also humans. They control human ships with nomad technology.
They are not humans but corpses commanded by the incubuses in their heads. Their brain is been consumed by the nomad which is commanding the corpse/body/wilder like a puppet.
Dont jump to your own conclussions if you dont know the truth.
Fallen
That is basically wilde being human except they are controlled by the nomad. And basically dead. The brain doesnt get consumed by the Incubai afaik
If they are a corpse, why doesn't the corpse rot.
Aswell
The Scorpian is a drone yes, non pilotable by human. Frankly how would the human even get in there. Apart from being stuck in the guts (tractor) : p
well. good job rorry. like the dubstep guy said, you're requesting a lot at the start already.
Let the talk of the Scorpion cease. It's derailing the purpose of this thread, and it's not even a critical issue. Everything that has been said has been said. Let the Admins take care of it from here.
