The Samarran Raiders, were founded by a group of exiles from Planet Samarra, who were once a part of the Raider Caste that served a specific noble, being an important part of the Samarran Society. Now without a noble to serve and please, they serve themselves, hoarding riches and recruits for their yet unknown goal. Most of them closely bonded with the Nomads, worshiping them as Gods, they would do almost anything to please them, going to the outer edge of human endurance in their exploits. They are currently deeply involved with the Outcasts, aiding them in Cardamine distribution, and supplying them with slaves, plundering and razing on their way through.
Zone of Influence:
The Raiders often perform their Raids through Kusari and the Tau Worlds, getting into frequent skirmishes with the local factions, both lawful and unlawful. In even rarer cases, the Raiders can be seen in the Omicron worlds, where they feel closer to their Gods and while striking The Order.
Goals:
The Raiders seem to eagerly hoard goods, credits and manpower, although their ultimate remains obscure, as the remaining original Samarrans are very secretive about it. However rumors persist about a hostile takeover of their home Planet, once they find a way to return there.
Diplomacy:
The Raiders, initially making their first contact with the people of Malta, decided that they would shape their further relations in the image of them, deciding to make most of their enemies and friends their own. However, hostilities and friendships with some unrelated groups were imminent.
Very interesting concept. Probably one of the best I have read here. Beats all the usual stories and is unique. Nice work. Looking forward to meeting those Raiders in space.
Sorry to be asking this, but did you even read the story beside the Russian part? I don't think there are any references to the Russians from Sol in the story. The story describes those people that had Russian/Arabic origins that made it into the sleeper ships, and due to them sticking out from the rest of the house population, deciding to become Zoners.
Also, I don't think that being Arabic or Russian immediately meant that they were Coalition and thus staying on earth to get blown to small chunks by the nomads.
<"From Darkness, lead me to Light. From Ignorance, to Truth. From Death, to Immortality.">
To avoid the above issue of Russia being part of the Coalition and thus not on the sleeperships, I would suggest going for non-racial or national identities.
Instead roll for idealogical or cultural.
The old Earth nationalities have since died out, we don't see any Germans rolling around etc but instead Rheinlanders. The culture of Rheinland may have come from Germany etc but it has evolved in the past 800 years.
As such basing an entire faction around people who are German would be a bad move as you wouldn't have really anyone who identifies themselves as German in Sirius.
It would be a better idea to have people from all over Sirius who identify with the Arabic culture.
Rheinlanders, Libertonians etc, all who like the arabic culture and want to found a nation with that culture.
It solves the problem of your founders not technically existing:P
That all said and done, looks like an interesting group, I look forward to seeing more of it.

We were not going for any racial or national motives in this faction. Of course you have a point, no "Sirian" at this present time would identify themselves as British, German, Japanese etc.
But this takes it to the very beginnings of the Zoners, at the very first centuries of house formations. As the lore says, there were always Zoners, from the beginnings of the houses. The ancestors of this group would be those Zoners.
And no, they are not just Russian, and Arabic, they are of all origins, mixed together, but under one same banner and creed etc. We described them with national words due to the lack of a better term only...
And thank you for your positive comment.

This. And yeah an very interesting read, I like to concept just edit it a bit so it doesn't go on nationalistic basis but more continental.
As I responded to the Linkus' post, we never meant to make it nationalistic, but continental like you said. Of course, that can be edited if people consider it offensive or what-so-ever.
Thank you for commenting.

Its not offensive, but for reference if I would go make Croatian or Serbian based group I would make it Balkanian not go directly connected to country which "extinct" many years ago inRP. Not for offensive, just for unrealistic part.
