I understand what you are saying. But sometimes you just happen to find a lone enemy battleship in ground and in that case jumping is no fun.
In one situation, where I had faced this Jumping thing, the end result was the enemy got killed eventually by me but it was no fun. Because honestly, I hadn't expected him to come back again. I presumed he ran away and was merrily heading back after some time, only to find the same ship 12K away coming back at me with full hull (didn't have time to look at his bots & bats)
I am fully supportive to the fact where a Battleship jumps away in a BATTLE that has multiple ships presence (It represents lot of RP opportunities i.e. rescue missions, getting back to safety etc... ) but against a solo opponent, its just no fun.. and you even don't know if that opponent would come back.
