This was it, the point where she either embraced a new life or the lessons her father taught her finally kicked in. She took the vial and looked at it for a moment. Looking up with her eyes at Hanako's smile for a brief second, she looked back to the vial. Yes, a lesson from her father did kick in but it was the one that said, "Once you set your mind to something, don't stop." With a quick sigh, she put the breather to her lips and pressed down, inhaling it deeply as she did the smoke from her kiresu. Her eyes closed as she drew it in, her chest expanding as the cardamine filled her lungs. Having never done anything like it, the effects were immediate as the vial fell from her hand and her head leaned back. As the feeling from her body went away, she began seeing things from her past.
It was most recent events that came first. The murder of the executive to impress the sisters, his eyes opening wide as her hairsticks impaled his lungs. The murder of William Mortimer when her father's fiance grabbed his gun and shot the man point blank in the head. The takeover of Gran Canaria and her fleeing into hiding.
She sat, her body swaying a bit under the influence. She felt nothing for the moment considering how deeply she inhaled it. Memories of her childhood with her mother when they would garden together at Tombstone Estate, the coma her mother laid in after hemorrhaging after the birth of her twin brother and sister and the argument that would separate her parents and finally, the death of her mother in child birth.
Memories of the escape on Erie. Tending to the George and Gracie, her father's horses while he fished for the day's meal. It seemed like an eternity that she was in the trance before finally opening her eyes and looking into the face of Hanako. For all of the numbness she felt, she felt a little sick to her stomach but managed a soft smile.
"Woah," she said, "that was.......trippy."
She still felt woosy between the cardamine and the Sake as she put her hands out to hold herself up. "I hope it gets better each time."
She then looked around the room, "So do I get to call you Sisters now?"
