The member in question apologized and admitted they were in the wrong. Sure, there was text past that, but it doesn't change the fact that the aggressor apologized for their wrongdoings.
Blatantly stating that a faction doesn't deserve officialdom based on the actions of one person alone, especially since it's only the second of two incidents since their run for officialdom, isn't even close to sound reasoning. It happened, it was sorted out, they apologized. Aside from getting back the minutes that you spent in the roleplay encounter, you lose nothing. Instead, you continue to bicker and charge an argument over nothing.
