I bid a good day to the esteemed representatives of the Kusari State Police. This message is to notify you of a new task to be undertaken by the police forces. The Empire of Kusari has recently granted the status of an imperial protectorate to the Republic of Keijo upon the request of the latter. The Republic of Keijo is an autonomous state funded on the planet of Keijo (also known as "Saigon") in the system of Shizuoka (//Sigma-21) by a group of Kusari colonists. The Imperial Diet has recognised the Republic of Keijo as a legitimate state and extended our military protection over their space to safeguard the aspirations of fellow Kusarians. While security is handled by the esteemed Lord Protector Mitsuo Akihiro, the agreement also provides that the Kusari State Police will assist in providing security and law enforcement around the planet of Keijo and throughout the corridor between the planet of Keijo and Honshu Jumpgate. Therefore, you are hereby requested to establish a few patrols in the area. It is worth notifying that the GMG paramilitary forces can be sensitive to the presence of Kusari Law Enforcement agencies, and therefore we request to use vessels no larger than gunboats for the said patrols. Please also mind, that the Imperial Laws apply in Shizuoka only within the scope provided by the Imperial Stellar Legal Codex, otherwise the Keijo legislation applies. So do not be overzealous in law enforcement not to deteriorate the relations with the GMG and Keijo. If any additional concerns arise, please contact the Governor of Honshu, Lady Hakkera Touko, or Lord Protector Mitsuo Akihiro.
