Rule 2.5 has been enforced in ebbs and flows over the years, with some character names being overlooked and others forced to rename. While it quotes rule 1.4, this sanction and the rule quoted are relevant enough to the character of Bob Kelso, which appears to have been in use for some time.
Quote:1.4 - All character, faction, ship or station names must be easily readable and roleplay appropriate. The use of profanity, country tags, memes, pop-culture references, non-English letters, or excess symbols is not allowed. For examples, see here.
2.5 - Characters that are ponies, furries, or direct imports (characters taken from other franchises) are not allowed.
Referring to this (correctly applied) sanction as an accurate interpretation of the server rules, using Bob Kelso, the name of a main character from the Scrubs TV series, on Discovery Freelancer is against the server rules. The usage of a picture of the actor who portrays Bob Kelso, Ken Jenkins, from what looks like it may be a Scrubs publicity shoot, is arguably a bigger deal than the aforementioned sanctioned character, which is just a name without such a picture.
Obviously I'm writing a feedback post rather than running to the report button, but considering the above, this character surely cannot be used in this way and should be renamed.
