Criticism whether useful or not, will always be poured over people regardless of whether they perform well. Update delays are not a newly introduced thing, especially where developers don't get paid for their immense work. You can use the argument that developers essentially do this out of a hobby and how they must, I repeat, must meet typical high expectations. If you work on something on the side, I can assume that you won't be a hundred percent fully invested in that thing, full time in other words, because it's something you do on the side. It's not perfect, it can't be, just like nothing else human made can.
People have their personal lives, plain and simple. I am fascinated how they comfortably endure insults and even outbursts that are poorly expressed all of the time. Specifically, it would be more productive if players would invest their time in helping rather than engaging in excessive criticism/hatred that really won't push one as much as helping them out would. I'm not blaming anyone with this, I'm simply saying that collectively we need to be more grateful. Even though this may sound insignificant, you'll actually realize it when you lose what you had. Nobody is perfect, and the time when we realize that arrogance gets us nowhere will lead to more pleasant changes. As usual, I support anything that can improve quality and give developers more time to present changes in a more favorable light. Whatever the case may be, the fact that changes are being made is enough.
