They never returned to good health. Infiltrators (Wilds) survived the fall of the Mainshare (as other Nomads did) and regrouped to assist their larger kin again.
With this document, Jammi closed the plothole of infectees missing vital organs and somehow recovering after the end of the campaign. Infiltrators cannot become ordinary humans again, but Thralls can (as they are still normal but brainwashed humans).
