Previous branch or organization: Gallic Royal Navy (during the War), IDF in the Bouvet division
Why do you want to join the GNI?
To serve my country with seriousness, to help it escape the grip of hypocrisy, laziness, and incompetence that successive governments have tightened. As a military man, I have witnessed helplessly the collapse of the Navy and the Kingdom that was supposed to guarantee us stability, future, and success. As a civilian, I have firsthand experienced the inefficiency of the confederation and the hypocritical servility of the Union. Seeing our beloved nation go from the foremost military and economic power in the sector to a caricature of itself, forced to compromise with the slimy Corsicans and those inferior Sirians, is humiliating for a true Gallic citizen. Through a fortuitous meeting with one of your operatives aboard the GNI/-Dunois, I have come to realize that I am not alone in my convictions, and that there are still bodies within the government, such as your organization, that uphold the Core Gallic Values and genuinely care about the well-being and future of Gallia.
BIOGRAPHY ON YOUR CHARACTER
Born in the Chartres Space Colony to a middle-class family, with parents working as civil employees within the bureaucratic state machinery.
Enlisted immediately after completing compulsory education to gain access to higher studies. Entered the officer school in Compiègne. Basic training followed by specialization in communication and reconaissance, subsequent attendance at the school of combat engineering (demolition)
Second Gallic War: assigned to the 5th Battalion, 3rd Armored Reconnaissance Regiment in Battlegroup Castries in Tau 23. Later transferred to the Tau 44 theater in Battlegroup Oblique, 5th Battalion Flechette. Field promotion to Corvette Captain for actions against Crayterian forces, followed by a leave in the Core Worlds (prior to Oblique's defection). Various assignments on internal fronts within the Core Worlds against the Council forces until the end of hostilities.
Forced discharge due to "structural reorganization and battlegroup dismantling," took advantage of protected job positions and was hired as a captain in IDF, Bouvet tourism division. Initially satisfied with his work, he viewed the company as a means of soft power to remind fellow citizens and demonstrate to the Sirians the cultural and intellectual superiority of the Gallia. However, excessive openings to external competitors and the realization that he was working for the same decadent elite that had led the nation to ruin caused him to fall into a state of disillusionment and angry depression towards the system.
Informal contacts with former comrades who shared his political beliefs and were dissatisfied with the political conditions in Gallia, linked to groups outside the law of a terrorist nature (Royalist). Despite an initial period of weakness, he reported the names of the traitors to the Gendarmerie. Contemplating voluntary exile rather than continuing to live in such a state, he had the aforementioned encounter with GNI operatives. From there, he decided to resume his military career outside of the Navy itself.
