Kampai fellow Security!
I have kept myself available for the security officers to call on for threats against themselves and our facilities. I have received many calls to action due to the relentless incursions of pirates in Sigma-13. Our security forces have been set upon by not only large numbers that exceed our own but also by warships wielding superior firepower and yet we still prevail each time.
Not too long ago a couple os Corsairs in cruiser backed by three gunboats came in and almost prevailed against GMG's two bombers, one fighter and gunboat. Our last surviving ship was able to defeat the last of those raiders. This example was still insignificant to the battle I was called into today....
I was in my tiny office on Naha when my comms went off alerting me that an Outcast Destroyer with an escort of four Falcattas were making an assault on Naha and the Security on duty! I scrambled to my ship with immediate haste. I wasn't the only one that scrambled to Naha's aid, several Security Officers were already joined up with our Lieutenant Taro along with a Merc who came upon this, all formed up to defend our mining facilities.
We went after the Outcast Dessie first, it was the primary threat to Naha and needed to go down as soon as possible. We managed to drive the Destroyer away from Naha but we were relentless and pounded on it as the battle shifted towards the northern oxygen pockets. The Outcast were sneaky and they were now adding a couple gunboats to the four Falcattas already chipping at our flanks.
With the Destroyer down we turned on the gunboats as they were the greatest danger to our ships. This battle slowly raged in the direction of the eastern oxygen pockets. By now we've taken down the gunboats but more Outcasts joined the fray including friends of theirs, we were now dealing with Sabres supporting the four original Falcattas and I'm not sure, could be wrong, but I think another gunboat came in.
Well anyways the battle seemed to last forever after the Outcasts received their reinfocements. Not once did we lose our resolve and determination, each of us held and kept our focus to pick them off one by one in a co-ordinated fashion.
In the end when the battle was finally over with GMG as the victors we made our head count. Kampai! Not a single caualty on our side was taken. The pilots shown above were still with me at the end of the battle, all of us depleted of ammo and in need of heavy repairs. After looking at the data we have recorded 11 Outcast ship destroyed by our small defence force. Here is something for GMG to feel proud about:
I would also like to thank the Mercenary Shamayim for sticking it out with us. It was a very big risk of his life he took by choosing to stay and hold off against this siege. Even if his original intention for joining was for money it takes something more in pilots heart to choose to hang on that extra couple minutes. We have sent you a payment for you heroic role in the defence of Naha.
