PERSONAL HISTORY:
Jason Hirlerman(formerly Jason Kazuo) was born on December 9th, 802 at Wayward Wind Hospital on Planet New Tokyo, into an aristocratic family composed of a Libertonian father and Kusarian mother. The Kazuos were transport pilots by trade, and his childhood was well developed through both Kusari and Liberty traditions. He often traveled with his parents to trade summits, watching them fly the heavy beasts of burden though the seemingly endless voids.
In 811 A.S., Jason was greeted by an officer of the Kusari Empire to inform him of his parents disappearance. During a transaction within Rhienland, Mr. and Mrs. Kazuo were pronounced missing, and soon after dead, following weeks of searching for the ship, until discovering it adrift in Stuttgart. The Kazuo's bodies were never recovered. As part of the Kusari Empire's legal codex, Jason was forced to enter the workforce as part of an orphanage. Years passed, until he found a job fair of Samura Heavy Industry, and signed a contract with them to serve as a part-time 'Anki' freighter pilot.
Now under his new position, he actively transported H-Fuel from New Tokyo's shipping centers to Planet New London, where he would take Gold Ores and various alloys back to Kusari. These routes soon changed forms when he was given escort position with the new 'Sutinga' Escort Fighter Platform, to protect larger shipments of the Samura shipping convoys. September, 820A.S. marked Jason's first hostile target splash, following an altercation with the now Kusari Exiles warriors. These actions caused Jason to begin large investments in craft upgrades to his own freighter, to improve combat reliability. This trend of combatant splashdowns ended on May 3, 824A.S. with an encounter with the Liberty Xeno's Alliance in Colorado.
The resulting skirmish ended with two Xeno pilots down, but Jason's vessel destroyed, and he sustained four broken ribs, and was recovered in his rescue pod by an Ageria Trade Lane convoy. He was placed in intensive care on Planet Manhattan, and once released, was given a moral choice. Either attempt to return to Samura a failure, and risk being severely sanctioned, or remain in Liberty, where he has no credentials. Jason chose the latter, changed his name to 'Hirlerman', after a friend of his father, and after some conversation, found himself at the Liberty Naval Forces' recruitment center.
The following weeks as a Cadet showed promise for Hirlerman, as he already had a basic understanding of combat skills and maneuvers. His graduation to the Naval Forces as an Ensign was awarded with the training honor of Top Pilot, due to considerable flight hours and combat prowess. Once of the rank of Lieutenant, Jason applied for the Logistical Corps of the Naval Forces, as it felt more natural to pilot a transport then a fightercraft. After numerous weeks of flight hours logged for the Logistics Corps, Jason was designated the Executive Officer of the Logistics Corps, the first of several honors to be bestowed upon him.
The Invasion of California by the Gallic threat was the first real combat warfare scenario Jason encountered. Within the hour of Ground Zero, Hirlerman was already scrambled in his Guardian as the recon team. The Gallic Royal Navy were in high numbers, and the other recon teams were torn apart by the masses of fighters. Hirlerman managed to down six of the Gallic ships before being torn apart by a GRN fighter ace. The battles raged on, and Hirlerman accumulated a total of 17 fighter kills and four assisted kills on GRN 'Valor' class battleships. Once the Gallic threat was pulled back from California due to a supply shortage, Jason was awarded the 'Fighter Ace' pin from the Naval High command.
When Operation Hidden Giant was commenced, Lt. Hirlerman was assigned SpecOps Upholder designation 'Papa.2' for the Nevada Strike Wing that was being sent into the anomaly. Assisted by the carrier LNS-Nevada, Commander Kingston, and the Liberty Navy Secondary fleet, the force charged into the fray, where they encountered the other Houses, as well as the 'Order' battlegroups. The jovial encounters did not last long, as the battlegroups encountered the source of the anomalies: A large unidentified K'Hara structure, powered by a series of generators. One by one, the battlegroups disabled the power sources, all while dodging the fire from the K'Hara vessels that were on the scene. Several unaccounted ion storms swept across the systems, the first one disabling the LNS-Nevada, which succumbed to weapons fire, and the second one striking Papa.2's flight and combat control systems. Being forced to eject, Jason was saved by an Order warship, who managed to escape the battlegrounds to rescue stranded pilots. After waking up with a heavy concussion, Hirlerman was debriefed about the event, although the trauma caused a large amount of amnesia over the events.
When the seperation and defecting of the Liberty Security Force's Primary Fleet happened, Jason was also there. Under XO Command of the 'LNS-Integrity', Hirlerman joined the masses of 'Pro-Navy' warships in the standoff. Departing just after the first shots were thrown to launch a repair ship for the severely-damaged 'Harmony', Jason was caught in the start of a new kind of war. After the Pro-Navy battlegroup was damaged by traitors of the republic, being assisted by criminal elements, Jason was forced into Juneau Shipyard with a cracked sternum. These injuries put him in recovery stasis for several days, while the damage was corrected.
When LSF Primary Fleet Captain Marissa Marshall came to the Liberty Navy for refuge, Lieutenant Commander Hirlerman was assigned the patrol to intercept her vessel, along with ESRD Agents Castle, Sentinel, and Lieutenant Dagino. The interception wing recovered Marshall and delivered her to Chesapeake where she began assisting the Liberty Navy.
Commander Jason Hirlerman recently applied for the External Security and Research Division, now operating under the callsign 'Phoenix'
