I would like to report my meeting with The Nemesis. It is a small cell flying under Gaian colors. However there is nothing Gaian in them.
After my message Devin Blackwood invited to meet him in a specific location in Magellan. This is where I went and waited for them. He was three minutes late and The Nemesis representative arrived, flanked by 3 more enforcers. From the beginning they denounced the former official movement of the Gaians, the Guard. They also denounced our extortion activities which was very hilarious because they offered a Piracy Pact to the Rogue Boss a few days ago, as Mr Drake has revealed in his report. They also didn't know anything about the terraforming of Planet Yuma, casting even more suspicions if they are a real Gaian cell or some elaborate LSF scheme. Throughout the meeting I was very courteous despite the constant insults that I had to suffer from Blackwood's enforcers. I am attaching the conversation log for review.
LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Wolfgang: There you are! N|-Devin.Blackwood: Well, hello Mr.Wolfgang. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: It seems we have a contact. N|-Devin.Blackwood: My people, nothing to worry about. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Sirius Logistics is yours? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Uhh, not seeing that. N|-Devin.Blackwood: That is not mine. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Anyway he disappeared from sight. N|-Devin.Blackwood: So, what did you want? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: You are a straightforward man; I like it. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Simply put, I want us to get back into business. We had some good business with the Gaian Guard and we continue that with you as well N|-Devin.Blackwood: Of course the spineless cowards dealt with Maltese puppets. More secrets I hear of theirs the less respect I have for them. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Why do you assume we want to deal with your group? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Maltese puppets? Why would you consider us as such? N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: He ain't smart for a Hacker is he? N|-Devin.Blackwood: It's not exactly a secret how dependant your group is on Cardimine. You make the GC of Kusari look clean. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Ah, cardamine. You will find the Outcasts having little influence in these parts of Sirius. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Uh huh, some how I doubt that. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Fine, here's the deal, LH~Mactan.Suppressor: The Lane Hackers have always been strong supporters of the Green cause that you advocate. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I am still baffled with this frosty reception. N|-Devin.Blackwood: You want to work with us like those rollover Gaian Guard folk you can, but Cardimine goes. N|-Devin.Blackwood: No Cardimine. N|-Devin.Blackwood: We are sick of people pretending to support us, you just fear what we would do if we opposed you. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Now that's interesting. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Give me a damn good reason why we should trust you? Trust you not to sell us out to The Outcasts? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Because there is good money involved N|-Devin.Blackwood: Does money speak louder than your addiction? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: And money overcomes every other loyalty one has. We are talking abour artifacts here N|-Devin.Blackwood: If Malta turned off the trickle to your fix you'd go mad. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: We would fall back to Stabiline actually. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Credit's won't prevent that. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I want to clarify something -- what was your name again? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Devin Blackwood, head of The Nemesis. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Mr Blackwood, isn't cardamine naturally grown on Malta? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Oh Piss off with that charade N|-Devin.Blackwood: The Maltese can keep their damned poison on Malta. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: You know people can choose what to consume and what not. This is what free will is about, yes? N|-Adam,Weaver: Do all hackers have their heads half in the clouds and half up their asses? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Freewill is different than being enslaved. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Mr Weaver that is correct. Lane Hackers are geniuses. N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: *Laughs* N|-Adam,Weaver: well that explains a lot LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Mr Blackwood, are you dealing in artifacts? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Malta, seeks not to cater to Freewill, they seek only addiction and subjugation. No, we are not. N|-Devin.Blackwood: The Corsairs betrayed us, or did your intelligence network miss the Corsair Fleet in New London? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Considering that we have always received a regular supply of artifacts LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I believe that there was some kind of relationship still going on. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: However I presume The Nemesis is fully hostile with the Corsairs. N|-Devin.Blackwood: There isn't any more, The Gaian Guard were weak in their morals, they chose to bend over to those who sought only to profit off their needs. N|-Devin.Blackwood: They turned their movement into a sham. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I see what you mean. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: What is your group's opinion on the Crayterians? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Your predecessors were quite inconsistant on that field. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Tolerant, they haven't given us a direct reason to hate them. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I am surprised Mr Blackwood. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Why? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Planet Yuma was a virgin world. The Crayterians threw all sorts of chemicals, toxins, terraforming gases and genetically modified vacteria and animals in order to tame that planet and make it their new capital. N|-Devin.Blackwood: This is information I was not previously aware of, and it changes things greatly. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: If you want a comparison, this is like Planet Gaia but in Yuma's case the nature actively fought LH~Mactan.Suppressor: and was ultimately defeated by their new colonists N|-Devin.Blackwood: I hear what you are saying, but how do I know it's true? N|-Devin.Blackwood: You have a lot to gain by lying. N|-Devin.Blackwood: What is your source of this knowledge? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Planet Yuma's "successful" terraforming is public knowledge. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: We do also have evidence of Crayterian shipping moving Terraforming Gases to Coronado. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Look, I am not stupid, I don't take information from one source as the hard truth. N|-Devin.Blackwood: I will do my own investigating, including contacting The Crayterians. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: By all means, Mr Blackwood. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Now, Mr.Weisen, LH~Mactan.Suppressor: This was something that started active confrontation between the Gaian Guard and Crayterians. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: But they unfortunately backed down due to Crayterian pressure LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Yes? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Tell me, what happens next? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Look Mr Blackwood. Believe it or not, we have strong feelings for what you stand for and we want us to have a simple and honest relationship. N|-Easter.Rising: Since when did Hackers care for anything other than Credits in hand at the end of the day? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Don't forget the trickle of Cardi as well. They are well known footstools of Malta. N|-Adam,Weaver: The only honest Hacker is a dead Hacker I have heard. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: The Hackers are exposing the corporate beast every day. These huge corporations are what caused all this environmental misery as well. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: We might have different causes but we share the same enmity for the same people. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Thank you for your insight Mr Weaver. N|-Adam,Weaver: Exposing for the greater good and information brokering for personal gain are not the same things. N|-Easter.Rising: While I can only speak for myself I highly doubt that mate LH~Mactan.Suppressor: We have broken many stories over the years. We revealed the Hudson Jump Gate instability which forced the warring Liberty and Rheinland to a ceasefire before a greater tragedy occured. N|-Devin.Blackwood: You know Mr.Weisen, all this talk of information brokering has me concerned. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: What is your concern Mr Blackwood? N|-Devin.Blackwood: You now know not just the names but also the ships of many of my members, surely someone will pay good money for that. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: We do? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I think this is the first contact our two groups have. N|-Easter.Rising: You not able to read transponders? Ain't you a genius? N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: This guy is denser than a Molly. N|-Devin.Blackwood: How can I be sure that you will not turn around and sell it to our enemies? After all, you are allies with with the Maltese. N|-Easter.Rising: *Grunts in annoyance* N|-Adam,Weaver: Sir, this is cleary a joke at our expense. If the hackers think sending a clown will amuse us they are mistaken LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Sell what exactly? That N|-Devin.Blackwood is flying an Eagle? N|-Devin.Blackwood: Worse than that, let's assume we work togeather, you sell out bases out. Aside from Information, what do you have that is - N|-Devin.Blackwood: even remotely of use to us. N|-Devin.Blackwood: A Network of friends who want us dead? N|-Devin.Blackwood: A drug that taints humanity? N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: Only thing worse than glassing billions of people, is robbing them of their freedoms entirely to live as husks. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Mr Blackwood, you are not the first contact who is an enemy with other friends of ours nor the last. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: We can manage this relationship without stepping on each other's toes. N|-Adam,Weaver: The Hackers are not the first group from liberty we have had contact with, just the ones with the least to offer. N|-Devin.Blackwood: You see, Mr.Weisen, I want to be friendly I just cannot find a reason to trust you. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Well, we are actually very trustworthy, you said it yourself Mr Blackwood. N|-Easter.Rising: Never met an Information Broker who didn't sell to anyone with the credits N|-Devin.Blackwood: Mr.Weisen, to me, you are no different to a Junker with one key exception. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Junker's can at least offer something, you, you offer me a liability. N|-Adam,Weaver: A bunch of kids playing at being LPI with more edge and a drug habit. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: It is unfortunate that you believe that. I think we already proved our worth with the information on Yuma. N|-Devin.Blackwood: You said it yourself, that is public knowledge. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: The evidence I mentioned afterwards wasn't however. N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: You told us they were caught carrying terraforming gases, which the public knowledge already said without you saying anything. N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: They can't agressively terraform without terraforming gases, that's a given. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: Fair enough. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Clues right there, LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I am sure we have more information which might interest you. N|-Adam,Weaver: sooooo The hackers make money off selling public knowledge? LH~Mactan.Suppressor: But this will not probably do the trick. N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: How about the guide on where to shove it? N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: Got your hands on that yet? N|-Devin.Blackwood: I am listening, please, give me something. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I think this meeting is over. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Not so fast, LH~Mactan.Suppressor: It was good talking to you Mr Blackwood. N|-Easter.Rising: Odd how all you have to say regards the Crayterians N|-Devin.Blackwood: You see Mr.Weisen, N|-Devin.Blackwood: I have something you can tell to your high command. N|-Devin.Blackwood: The Nemesis does not tolerate turn coats, N|-Devin.Blackwood: We do not tolerate snakes. N|-Devin.Blackwood: We do not tolerate Cardimine, N|-Devin.Blackwood: and we do not tolerate your kind in Bretonia, or anywhere you might try to pervert. N|-Devin.Blackwood: Now, show me the famed skill that Cardamine gives. It is time for you to die Mr.Weisen. LH~Mactan.Suppressor: And what about Ageira? N|-Adam,Weaver: Time to die Hacker. N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: Locking Hacker N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: Tearing it down. N|-Easter.Rising: Guess I'll watch the fireworks then LH~Mactan.Suppressor: ARE YOU INSANE? N|-Easter.Rising: Probably N|-Eris.Dawnglaive: He doesn't know who we are, does he? *cackles* LH~Mactan.Suppressor: I AM A DIPLOMAT
In the end they wanted to convey a message to our "High Command" and all four of them, three fighters and one bomber, suddenly started attacking my lone bomber, breaking every diplomatic convention in the universe. Fortunately I could contact Mr Drake who hopped on a fighter in Mactan and came to my rescue. In the end, Lane Hacker superiority was proven once again as all four Nemesis ships were humiliatingly eviscerated by yours truly and Mr Drake. [ 1 | 2 | 3 ]
Following these traumatic events I am requesting from the Professorship that no Rules of war be accepted for these Gaian pretenders. Asymmetric warfare and torture and execution of all war prisoners should be the treatment they get for attacking a lone ambassador during a diplomatic meeting.
