While I was on a patrol route in northern Liberty, I stopped by Ames Research Station, in Kepler, where I found a modular installation in direct proximity of the station, named Aergia Research Facility.1 After ascertaining that Lane Hacker vessels are reckognized as neutral entities by the defense grid, I proceeded to request docking clearance, hwever the automated system denied my request.
Mission 63 Phase 2
After docking on Ames, I proceeded to contact the station's owners in regards to their goals and aims within Kepler. It turns out that the owner is none other than the Covenant of Auxesia; the first one to answer was, in fact, Keeper Leviathan, which also pointed out to an instance which happened in Inverness -that isn't though pertinent to the mission- to which Professor Provocateur Scorpius, and later on Emissary Weisen, intervened. As Keeper Leviathan then stated after Weisen's reply:
Keeper Leviathan Wrote:The facility in question is a small research and manufacturing outpost that was established with the intent to monitor the various dark matter clouds. We assumed there wouldn't be an issue, considering the facility's location within a Zoner-controlled environment. It seems this assumption was incorrect.
Regardless of the annoyance this situation had presented to our mutual friend here, I reiterate that the traversing of Inverness is something we take very seriously in any capacity. By right of negotiation and combat in less fortunate circumstance, we consider the system our territory. With the pending departure of the Atum Battlegroup, security is of the utmost importance as we maintain a scrutinizing monitor of their retreat. This means all vessels - regardless of affiliation or previous notice of intent - are subject to investigation until the security matter is resolved.
With this out of the way, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience. We can discuss opening the facility to joint projects with the Lane Hackers, should you desire.
