My name is Cylek, and I have recently escaped from my former employer, Ageira technologies. While working for them, I noticed that a disturbing number of my colleagues seemed to be going missing. After a little searching, I found that several had been jailed, and others were killed in mysterious accidents. Several of those who had been killed were working on special projects geared toward data encryption and trade lane security, just like me.
With this information in mind, I hacked some of Ageira's more secure databases, and found a list of names. Following the data trail, I found that a significant sum of money had been forwarded along with the list to the bounty hunter's guild. My name was on it. Immediately, I packed my things, stole a starflier, and abandoned my old life. To this day, Ageira's forces, and those they hire continue to hunt me.
On the run alone, I didn't believe I stood much of a chance, so I took shelter with the Junkers, and later the liberty rogues and outcasts. Eventually, I found the Lane Hackers. Since then, I have worked towards purchasing a new ship, and better weapons. Cooperating with Junkers, Rogues, Outcasts, and Hackers, I have clawed my way forward, gaining enough credits to purchase a dagger (after purchasing a dagger, I ran several anti-xeno missions with a junker pilot). Also, I have gained the full confidence of the lane hackers I have worked with.
Proof of Dagger:
Proof of Confidence/Affiliation:
Other things of note that have happened so far include destroying resource depots (police, bounty hunters, and DSE), bounty hunters, police forces, and shipping company forces in Liberty, mostly in the New York system. Also, I met up with a group of Rogue and Outcast ships in California whom I joined in pirating a trade lane. I made 2 million credits before we moved into the New York system and engaged Navy and Police forces in a massive battle including several gunboats, cruisers, and a few battleships. More pilots joined in the fight every few minutes, Hackers, Rogues, and Outcasts poured in from every system. Unfortunately, much of the battle took place close to West Point Academy, and I was out-gunned from every direction. Also, one of the enemy gunboats kept docking and resupplying at West Point, making it difficult to finish off the enemy forces. Eventually the battle moved closer to Norfolk Shipyard, and unlawful forces were forced to retreat by the constantly incoming Navy and Police reinforcements.
I hope this message finds you in good health, and I would ask that you consider my request to formally join your faction. Contact me when you have made a decision. Until then, I will continue to work with unlawful forces in Liberty, disrupting trade and harassing Liberty 'peacekeeping' forces.
Best of wishes to you,
P.S. Also, the reason I wish to join you instead of those other groups I've worked with is because you steadfastly oppose Ageira, I have a love of hacking, and you have smuggling opportunities. All these combined make the Lane Hackers a promising prospect.

Said the pirate to the merchant: Your money or your life?
Merchant: What was the question?
Pirate: Pay or Die!
Merchant: That's not a question.
Pirate: Hand over 2 mil you corporate flunky, or be atomically disgronified!
Merchant: Sorry, I can't hear you, too busy docking.
Pirate: Wha... Dang it. *Turns to the new recruits* And that is why you shoot the trader who refuses to cut his engines. You just have to make sure you asked them to stop, and threatened them properly before you space them. Also, record your conversations in case the dead come back to complain. That's how it works here folks. Now go out and cut yourself a piece of the corporate pie!
