Name:Beta.Dagger
Ship: Dagger, Condition:Used, but in a great shape
Bio: I was born on Planet Erie. My mother was a Zoner trader, father - unknown to a certain point. At age 16 I had finished Liberty pilot school, and started thinking what to do with my life. I had offers from LPI and Liberty Navy to join them, but i never got around to accept them. On my 17th b-day my mom came up to me and said: "well, i think it's time you finally find out about who your father was. I am sorry for not telling you this earlier, but i didn't think you were ready. I was once invited to a party on Freeport 4. I was a little drunk when a handsome man came up to me, and we started talking, one thing lead to another, you know... The next morning we woke up, and i asked, who was he, on which he replied "you don't want to know", but i was curious, so i asked again. He realized that i will not stop until i find out, so he said "The name's Beta.Dagger, i work for the Lane Hacker Guard, but please... do not ever try to find me, it will be better for us all." and then he left... After 9 months you were born... I am sorry for not telling you who he was earlier, but that's all i know about him. I know it sounds like a regular party for you, but it was the best night of my life, and that's why i named you after him..." I had to find out about this man, but even secret folders on planet Erie's computers didn't give me any info on who i should call "father". Since i hadn't killed any Rogues or Junkers in my life, Rochester base was neutral, so that's where i went, and started to ask around. Not many knew him, but who did, said that he might be the best fighter, most generous and most handsome indie Lane Hacker they had ever known. This made me want to find him so badly i headed back to Erie and told my mother i was going to join the 'Hackers, i told her that i wanted to be just like him, maybe even better. She understood me (which was a surprise for me), and knew that if she staid in Liberty, she would get arrested, so we said our last goodbyes near Fort Bush. She went to Kusari, i headed back to Rochester, and started digging up info on the Lane Hackers, and how to join them. Soon i had found the 6-step guide, and immediately got to work. After killing a couple of Xenos and destroying 2 storage depots near Newark, i had a cruiser patrol on my tail, but Rogues were neutral now, so i ran to Buffalo. The ship dealer there offered me a new Dagger, but it was too expensive, i couldn't afford it even after selling my Starflier with all the pilots in hold. But then an outcast offered to sell me his used Dagger, and i took it without thinking. It was in bad shape, and i had very little credits to fix it, but somehow i managed to do that, mounted a few guns that the rogues had to offer and went to Magellan to look for the Lane Hacker base. I heard it was somewhere on the far side of the system. Killed a couple of Bounty Hunter piranhas on the way, and found the base. Everyone was looking at me when i docked... I knew they dont trust me, but one of them told me about storage depots in Manchester, and the fact that bounty hunters love them very much, and wouldn't want the depots to get destroyed. That might get me some trust, so i went to manchester, destroyed the depots, ran back, but still it wasnt enough for the Hackers to let me do missions. At least now the equipment dealer could sell me some guns, and a shield. I went to the bar, and the only one offering me a mission was an Outcast trader, who had seen some BHs on the way, and wanted them dead. I thought "why not? That might get the hackers to trust me finally, and the salary is good too.", so I took it.
Barracudas. Damn. It took me some time to kill them all, and my ship was badly damaged, but i did it, got paid and repaired my Dagger. The next 2 missions (already given by Hackers) were easy-against-piranhas ones, but then a base destruct mission came. I was like "ah, some wep platforms, whatever", but when i got into scanner range of the base, my jaw staid open for a half minute or so.
At least Mactan sent 2 Daggers to help me with it, but it was me who killed all the objects in there anyway. Some more missions later i had to kill one of BH leaders in a Barracuda, while 2 hammerheads were shooting me, did that too, had to repair the ship, but i was alive. Barely surviving at the missions, i reached the point where the equipment dealer was ready to give me Lane Hacker ID, which meant i had earned their trust, finally... So here I am now, hacking this channel, wondering... Will you accept me, Lane Hackers?
