Also an error in premise - You're claiming Odin is subpar compared to Sabre.
Additionally, we're considering swapping Eagle and Sabre powercores.
The Sabre does very well in group fights and core seems not to be too much of a problem. They rape the easy to hit fat Lhotse with 7 guns in chase fights very fast, so fast that hardly anybody uses it now.
I'll just hope that my faction will for once not end with the worst VHF in the hot Tau region.

Tnx for the work you invest into the balancing
Balancing it is a hard thing to do. Buffing one results into buffing another one. There are in my view many factions which should need a buff. If you compare them to others. But granting one, and disgranting someone else creates ooRP grudges. also people see it that some are privilaged above others. In my view even if that ship would be buffed you will still have the advantage over cruisers and bs ships over gmg for example. Then to think that GMG has to fight outcasts and corsairs which are also huge fleets. and i do not see the difference with IMG, but well what do i know of fair balancing?

all existing in the mod can become available. the things which are not will disapear like the ships what will be not longer available on the 4.87.. phooms are.. so chance exists. not that i refer to myself trying to revive it. but people will try as long it is possible. Who knows maybe some admin/mods in the end.. lets see in a year shall we?
Edit for all i care you try to obtain the venator and breathe like darth vader

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but...
I have seen that a new "snub line" is being implemented taking as a "template" the gladiator, so 4 guns + Cd + torpedo slot. If i'm not wrong the gladiator MR arc is smaller compared to other ships like Collector.
Gladiator and new counterparts will have the same arc as Gladiator has now cause the small arc responds to a balance issue or will be improved? Thanks.
Balance of Phantom gear was reviewed a while ago not because there may or may not be a chance of them reappearing on GC, but because they're still in use on other Discovery servers. Even though this community's the base for Discovery mod, we're not ignorant toward other servers who're running the same mod as ours. Just because the decision to remove Phantoms was made by GC admins with reasonings suitable for GC server, doesn't mean other servers should be forced to follow the same line of thought... So yea, tech belonging to Phantoms is always considered during balance discussions, regardless of their status on GC.
On a more GC-related subject:

Greyhound, Rogue/Molly Fighter, is now a proper VHF rather than a HF/VHF hybrid.
12k core, 4 Class 9 guns, 1 Class 2 turret, VHF shield and handling.
Next on the list: Fighters
The greyhound already had VHF shield and handling. The problem is the low hull + large size + low amount of guns, not the core. You can fire 5 guns all day with 10k. I'd like this to be revised as [M] 2iC and I can indeed make suggestions.

Wraith, Rheinland Very Heavy Fighter, now has a shotgunable hull. (Go nuts [LN])
Handling and powercore is kept the same, but hitpoints and regen capacity is moved to a range more in line for its size.
Next on the list: Fighters
If it's shotgunable it means it got a similar hull to eagle's (about 9200 hitpoints). That's -way- too low for 5 guns. Making the turret fire forward would be a reasonable trade in my opinion, a quicker yet weaker guardian.
