I agree. Instead of having a cushion, I want a jump hole which takes me right to Theta. That will solve the perceived problem of a dead Sigmas right off.
There's nothing wrong with Eta, people, seriously. That connection was not a Discovery concoction, it was from vanilla. The only difference is that now there's a system in the middle instead of Omicron Alpha being connected directly to Omicron Theta. The Outcasts aren't ruined at all, actually. If you'd look in the opposite direction, you should see a plethora of people who are good and active in the Tau systems, keeping miners from encroaching on their smuggling routes.
Aaaaanyway, nothin' we can do about anything except play the game, anyway. Much more fun than this game of Point the Blame (picture frame, playing by the rules while you're losin' the game).
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.

Clearly you have yet to experience the bone-chilling horror that is the Eta NPC swarms... which utterly ruins any attempt to have some fun in that system. Oh, and then we have the god-awful design of that system in itself working against you.
As for the Taus.... The unique hate that Panzer has managed to cultivate in that area throughout the last year kind of makes it less fun to fight the Colonials or the IMG than it used to be. (One example being good old Beck trying to get one of my pilots sanctioned because his precious IMG lost a fight.)
But opinions will vary... and I'm sure your vast experience in all things Maltese justifies your statements.
