Rose was able to convince the local members of the Bounty Hunters Guild to join her in a joint strike on Norfolk and Baltimore shipyards, whose defenses where locked down by the Dreadnought's systems. Catching nearly three-quarters of the Liberty Navy utterly helpless, they were destroyed or captured with minimal casualties, and soon the President folded to threats of sustained orbital bombardment. The old leader of the Liberty Rogues, known only as "Sylpheed", has disappeared and is presumed dead- likely the work of Rose, our new Empress."
Seriously you are going to just bend down and give up that easily? Surely the rules aren't that in-flexible..... surely with all the other bizzare RP combinations that are allowed.. the precedent says you can try.

Oh I have tried belive me but it seems the rules are that inflexable. However that is not the issue. I have far grander ideas in mind... *evil laugh*
eh.. I don't know.. seems kinda odd to me. The rules shouldn't be son inflexible I've always heard that if you had good RP you can do almost anything.. heck how else did the Outcasts get a Bretonian battleship? through great RP....

I don't think so. The main part of the popularity contest being brought up so often is because people who joke around and are well known are more trusted than someone whose only posts were in Stories or Character Background. It's just the fact that you have been here for a while and you are known as someone who plays fair or Roleplays well, and you aren't just doing a story for PvP Advantage.
But, then again, it may also be argued that things have changed since the Fantasia Story was written. Things like the Sephardi Sanction that shows a crackdown on traditional RP because of the major influx of new players on this server. Never-the-less, it is true that a crazy, yet suitable, RP would be harder to do now than in the past...

ok....i dont want to be misunderstood here. Example: Jinx, with more than 3k posts is a trustworthy member of the community, personally i like him/her more than any of the admins. (not that i dislike them)
Im sure the 3k posts didn't come from just stories/background.

woa...i hope you're not accusing me of such behavior. I'm merely interested in a RP/PvP combination.
PvP without a background is as simple as Unreal Tournament, becomes boring once you get the hang of it.
Unlike stories that develop mysteriously and endlessly, always interesting. Allso, a story becomes boring if you're not reading it from a book but in a forum unless you combine it with something "real" such as live combat. This is a game of struggle and conflict after all.
